I enjoyed my stay at the Coach House. The ladies I met on arrival and during breakfast were cheerful and friendly, the rooms were spotless with some lovely touches such as really pretty door hangers asking not to be disturbed, and there was parking, though it was a bit tight. There was exotic fresh fruit at breakfast, plus bananas and... More

booked the coach house for a wedding at darley mill, good location for this venue. Not very welcoming, rooms tidy but very dated. Had the "full english" breakfast! I think i could have fitted it on a sandwich. (more of a childs meal). Glad we only needed one night. Wouldn't want to put anyone off because it is adequate, but... More

Three of us in the family room (including a toddler) and we were really very comfortable. Room was spotless and included a lovely, generous en-suite. Beautiful sitting room available to guests too. The breakfast was delicious (my fussy toddler tucked right in!) - we really couldn't have asked for more. They took great care of us, and the house and... More

My room was spotless, wonderful bed - slept like a log and the breakfast was excellent - all freshly prepared, with a god selection of fruit and jams etc. Zoe and Carol are very pleasant - good hosts. Would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

Stayed here for 1 night while attending a wedding just outside Derby. We arrived around midday and the room was ready for us, it was on the first floor, large, airy, it had everything we needed and also the bathroom was huge. I couldn't fault anything at all, the owners have obviously spent very long on choosing what to put... More

We have been staying here for nearly ten years and Carol and Zoe do an excellent job of looking after us. Nothing is too much trouble. The room and spacious bathroom are spotlessly clean and there is an added advantage of a beautiful lounge to use downstairs. The room was lovely and warm when we arrived on a cold and... More

We have stayed here so many times and we just love coming back. Carol & Zoe are so lovely & welcoming and they cannot do enough for you. They cook the best Full English anywhere in the known universe, the rooms are comfortable and pleasant and the B&B is minutes from the centre of Derby or the beautiful surrounding countryside.... We were attending a wedding reception nearby at the Darley Mill so needed a covenient B&B nearby and we came across The Coach House. It turned out to be a super find. We stayed in the double bed front upstairs room with en suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Tea & coffee with biscuits provided in room plus TV.... More

We have just stayed in this bb and we wouldn't stay again, the breakfast was awful my wife's was cold and both our eggs were overcooked and solid. The toast was very crisp.when we arrived the room was very cold and phoned the owner because after ringing the bell downstairs on two separate occasions nobody came, we eventually got the... More

Thank you Stephen for taking the trouble to review our b&b. My mum and I were surprised to read your remarks, we accept the heating wasn't on when you arrived and that is a failing on our part because we assume most guests will not be in during the day & for this I can only apologise. With regard to... More
