Stayed for 1 night in room 115. Shabby room - light over bathroom mirror and 1 bedside light not working. Repairs made some time ago to door handle and lock but filler not painted over, looked really tatty! Noisy fan/air con outside window. Not a very powerful shower. Carpets ill fitting and stained. Duvet inside the duvet cover looked really... More

We visited after it was recommended to us by friends who live in Gloucester. We quickly fell in love with the place and booked in for a weekend visit later that month. The hotel accommodated our request for a second bed for the children with no additional cost, there was entertainment late into the evening in the courtyard downstairs, and... More

Booked for 2 nights, unfortunately had to change room on first night due to very loud air conditioning. Second room was clean, but hair drier was hanging off the wall. Also lots of very big stains on carpets. Standard lamp bulb was dead and couldn't find switch to lights over bed. On the second night we ate in bar only... More

It was a real experience staying in a building which can be traced back to 1450. Said to be the oldest, best-reserved gallery/courtyard inn in the country. It’s not a good place for people with dodgy lower limbs -- no lift – the first floor gallery is via 18 outdoor steps, then up a narrow staircase if you're on the... More

Thank you for this review. unfortunately with the building being so old and also grade 1 listed we are very limited on what we can do. All of our hotel rooms are going through refurblishment at this moment in time, but with this being a busy time of year it is hard to get things done quickly but we are... More

Stayed here for the Gloucester v Saracens game. Lovely, quirky place steeped in history. Large en-suite rooms, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was hot and freshly cooked with lots of choice. For an old building the rooms are lovely and warm with lots of hot water. The staff are helpful, friendly and cheerful. The location cannot be beaten. Within walking... More

Stopped here from 2nd-5th Nov 2016. Was working away with company. And was given room 112. Found that bed was hard and couldn't sleep on first night. And then second there was a live band in bar. So decide to get a early night. Oh did this not happen. My room was right above bar and all I could here... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. on all of our website we advertise that we are a city centre hotel and that we have entertainment in our hotel. we havent had many complaints about uncomfortable beds, as this is down to personal preference, if we were made aware sooner of this rather than the 3rd night... Three of us stayed at The New Inn from Friday 21/10 to Sunday 23/10. Due to the location public car parks need to be used however they are really cheap we first parked in the Kings Walkcar park after 5pm. All the signs do not state whether this is a 24hour car park so returned at 9am (the charge was... More
