15th century galleried inn with rooms mainly set around a courtyard on first and second floors. There are no ground floor rooms. Some of our rooms are quirky, full of character and as befits our history, expect everything from wonky floors to beams and in some cases oak panelling. Our main bar and restaurant serve food daily. Kindly note that we are in the City Centre and guests are advised this is not the place for a quiet break. Recommended parking is available at Bruton Way NCP (opposite the railway station) - GL1 1DG. Drop off area in New Inn Lane GL1 1EA.

This old coaching inn dating back to the 16th Century is a great place to stay in the centre of Gloucester. With its outside stairs, galleried corridors and beams the hotel was full of character. The room was warm and the bed comfortable. The shower was hot and the breakfast (an

Very old building with masses of character. Not a luxury hotel. A bit worn but very comfortable. TV and WiFi work well. Bit of a crack in my wash basin, but no problem. Decent bar but a bit noisy. Decent bar lunch and very good breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful.

My father-in-law and I stayed here the night of the Gloucester v Munster match on Friday 11 January, and as you can imagine with a legion of travelling fans the whole city, and it’s restaurants and hotels were a buzz of activity. The hotel had a fair number of rugby fans in
