We booked this hotel on the back of the reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is well run, good check in process, friendly staff and a central location to the town. We were staying over having watched England beat Wales :) at Cardiff. We chose Gloucester as the rail link is straight through and only an hours...

Had a very nice over night stop, very informative of location and places to go. Had a good night sleep in an very spacious and comfortable room. Facilities were excellent tea and coffee in the room with kettle. The stay was topped off with a lovey cooked breakfast.

Stayed at this hotel for one night whilst visiting the Gloucester area. We arrived at lunchtime, to find both the front and back doors locked, so we rang the bell. Some minutes later someone arrived to open the door. We checked in and was shown our room, passing through many small corridors littered with cleaning equipment and bedding. The young...

We booked the budget room, don't! Apart from that the hotel was very nice, the other rooms looked lovely, the breakfast was very good and the location was ideal. Our budget room was fairly tatty and very noisy, creaking floorboards above where the stairs went up and over our room and noisy pipes, either heating or water. The dining room...

It was a nicely furbished hotel with friendly staff, clean beds and bathrooms. We had a really good sleep here. It was a quiet and peaceful street. However - we didn't like the reception girl banging on our door at 10:30am to remind us check-out is in an hour. She could've phoned us or knocked on the door; instead, she...

Came here to stop over for a rugby match at Kingsholm. Hotel is beautifully sited within 10 minutes walking distance of the train station or the town centre or the rugby ground. The staff are courteous & flexible & the breakfasts are excellent. Rooms are spacious with a slightly old-fashioned touch but very comfortable nonetheless. I unhesitatingly recommend it as...

The room was clean and the radiator responded quickly to changes to the dial. There were problems with water pressure in the shower, but it was adequate. Breakfast was very good and the staff efficient. This is the kind of hotel I really enjoy staying in, as a contrast to modern soulless chains.

Quite shocked not to wake up to a mad axeman at the foot of the bed in the middle of the night if im honest. Cold, dank, dirty, dilapadated, the single room on the ground floor i stayed in was like a prison cell, the shower and toilet had seen better days (those days being the early 1970s) only redeeming features were its...
