This B&B is located in a shabby terrace located in an even shabbier area. My family and I stayed here for three nights and although the experience wasn't horrific I can't say I was impressed. Inside was a bit of a maze in the sense that there were stairs all over the place and that the room numbers didn't make... More

The Edward Hotel is situated on the main road into Gloucester. It has free car parking which is what I look for in B&B. The car park is situated at the rear of the hotel and access is via a narrow road and a lane but has plenty of spaces. The check in was quick and easy. The room although... More

Comfortable single room, with everything you need for a stop over, coffee, tea , biscuits. Very good full English breakfast, with tea, toast and orange juice in a very pleasant breakfast lounge. Couldn't fault it. Very good value too. Easy walking distance from city centre and train station.

Stayed for one night in a family room. The car park at the back of the hotel is very small and we car was blocked-in in the morning. Hotel owner was helpful and very knowlegeable about gloucester. The rooms where clean, tidy and modern with tea and coffee facilities. We had a short walk into the town centre and visited the... More

Visited with two friends - we were looking for a triple room on a tight budget. The room was fairly basic but large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel has its own free car park and it is only a short walk into the city centre. Breakfast was fine, not a great deal of choice... More

I was looking for a reasonably priced bed and breakfast in Gloucester so that I could explore the city and in particular the Docks. The welcome at check-in was very friendly and the room was comfortable and quiet. The full English breakfast was really tasty with locally sourced sausages - proper sausages! Another bonus is the off-road parking.

Shabby hotel. Staff absent. Rang reception 3times for help with tv. No reply. No one around when checked out....they had their money. Paid same price for 2 rooms which differed hugely in cleanliness and bathroom size. We let our son have best one as we were treating him to night away with his partner. Our bathroom was pokey and black... More

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Parked in their car park at the back of the hotel. We were greeted by a very helpful receptionist who recommended a few things to see and places to eat. Very nicely decorated throughout and a comfortable and spacious room. The halls are filled with framed photos of Gloucester like an art gallery. Nice breakfast... More

A quirky place with a most interesting, gracious and knowledgeable host. Room are named for the famous Edwards, including the eight kings of that name. We stayed in Edward V "Of the Tower". As history buffs, we found it quite fun. We could not figure out the breakfast table puzzle, but were apparently not unique in that respect. We recommend... More

We stayed overnight when attending a family event nearby. The basic economy room was fine; TV, small en suite, tea & coffee etc. Good breakfast in the morning at a reasonable price. There is a car park (behind the hotel so some people find it difficult to find). It is a short walk from the City Centre and Quays.
