You enter and notice the rather stale air from joss sticks or oil burners, definitley needs an airing. The room was a very good size - clean and nicely presented. The bed was so soft it was uncomfortable. There was a mattress topper 5 inches thick - once you were close to the edge of the bed it had no... More

Just returned from a one night stay at Alvera Court Hotel. My two friends and I received a lovely welcome from the owner and our room was available as soon as we arrived at 11am. The hotel itself was really clean, our triple bedroom was spacious with very comfy beds, the bathroom was small but had everything you need and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Harrogate and our stay at Alvera Court. The ground floor twin room was spacious and very beautifully decorated. The triple room on the second floor was also fantastic and the teens really enjoyed their bit of independence up stairs. Breakfast was great - all you could eat cereal and fab cooked breakfast. The car... More

We had one night here in May. Parking is out back (limited) or on street out front (permit needed from proprietor). Nice, old-fashioned style building/interior, clean, lots of stairs. We were up in the gods, no lift, so be prepared to climb lots of stairs unless you specifically book something lower down. Nice enough room, comfy bed, lots of free... More

Very comfy bed and pillows, tea and coffee with nice cups and saucers, good shower .Room faced the small car park (room for 4 cars but tight) so fairly quiet. Patricia explained the parking zone problems but you will be given a permit to allow you to park on the road... More

Stayed here for one night. Lovely hotel, very pleasant and friendly owners and staffs nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was really good with plenty to eat, room nice and clean with tea and coffee in the room. Great location five minutes walk and you are in the middle of Harrogate. I would stay here again next time in Harrogate.
