We stayed for 1 night as my works Christmas party was in Harrogate. It was cheap and in the town centre, prime location for all the shops and close to the railway. The rooms were clean and so was the hotel. There weren't any "funny smells" the man who showed us to our room didn't seem to know what he... More

Terrible. Had we not paid in advance we would have left after the first night. One of the windows did would not shut so every vehicle which roared down the road woke us up as did every drunk that walked down it. The room was dirty and had we closed the window we would not have been able to breath... More

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel as we were going to a wedding in harrogate. Upon arrival we saw that the reception area wasn't very clean and there was a general smell about the place. Keeping up our optimism we checked in and the rude lady gave us our room key and we thought that was going to be... More

Booked through Late Rooms in a hurry - only later realised their 3 stars were self-awarded! Run- down, tatty and shambolic. I arrived before the 2pm checkin so agreed to come back later. By 3.30 my room was still not ready and there was no knowing how long it would be as no staff were there apart from an administrator... More

I booked its sister hotel Azalea Living. When I read tyhe awful reviews I rang up to confirm the details. The had no recollection and had lost my credit card details. They offered me this hotel which I declined after there awful booking. Then I found they had taken a wooping £660.00 out of my account a month later. Avoid... More

In general, dirty and squalid. This was just a run-down house, I didn't want to touch anything. On the plus side, I didn't need a wake up call as there was no real curtain so I woke up with the daylight.

I booked two nights in this hotel as bed and breakfast through the late booking room website. I arrived at 2230 and there was no one in the reception! They have left the key with a note for me to read and find my own room. On the morning, I realised that there was no breakfast to be served! Hotel... More

Lol. What can I say. Awful disgusting rude unhelpful. Let's put it this way. The woman who owns it clearly didn't go to business school as she hasn't. the first clue about running a business. We needed up here because every where else was booked. Loved Harrogate. Loved the people the atmosphere etc but this hotel is hideous. Will NEVER... More

We have avoided B and B's for many years but we're won over by the many positive reviews we saw about Ashley House. We stayed two nights and without doubt we could find no fault. The room was beautiful and well appointed. It was extraordinarily clean, not that we were playing Four in a Bed but it would have to have scored 10.Breakfast was...
