Having spent many excellent New Year stays here over the years we have been extremely disappointed by a very obvious decline in standards this year.VInce Johnson a superb manager with excellent customer relations skills is no longer here and his absence is shown in the decline in the standards we have so appreciated. Indeed we wonder if there really is...

I really enjoyed Christmas Day lunch 2 years ago, and decided to book again this year, for the 5 of us as before. We arrived at around 12.30pm as requested, for bucks fizz and canapés. There were none to be found, and no-one to point us in the right direction. Lots of other people were milling around and the dining...

We stayed for two nights over new year. Entrance is grand enough but that's about it. Our room was shabby with stained curtains and the bathroom was tired. The curtains in the bar area were really dusty and looked dirty. The whole place really looks as though it requires a makeover. The 8 quid per night parking charge is a...

Had a large family room with double, single and sofa bed - sofa bed uncomfortable but would be ok for a small child. Heating came from one traditional radiator so took a while to heat up. Bathroom needs updating - shower in bath which means you can't shower without either hitting the disabled handle or the shower curtain - very...

I have just arrived home from a visit at the majestic hotel with my partner. He lovingly bought me a 2 night getaway as part of my Christmas present. As we lead very busy lives to say I was looking forward to it is a understatement. When we arrived at the hotel we checked in and went up to our...

A comfortable and quiet room supported by excellent meals in a convenient location.... Once again we enjoyed outstanding food and service in this relaxed hotel. After a hearty breakfast it is only a five minute stroll into splendid Harrogate. Still a little tired around the edges, but this adds to its charm.

My partner and I booked a mini break here via itison, upon arrival we were checked in by friendly staff and the grand entrance looked promising. However it went swiftly downhill. We were due to have a bottle of prosecco on arrival- which was no-where to be seen! I asked for it the next day at reception to be told...

We stayed at the majestic in December for our first wedding anniversary. This was my husbands first time in a hotel! The bed was comfy - this is really the only positive I can list. I will start with the hotel common areas - The decor is tired and there is a lot of damp patches in the hotel which...

4 Star hotel?... More like a bedsit in Blackpool! Myself and partner were really disappointed. The room was very shabby and beaten up. We had pre paid for breakfast but the line was very long (8.30am) and not moving... Decided to walk into Harrogate and get breakfast elsewhere, rather than stand there like muppets with our begging bowls. You can...
