Stayed there for three nights at the end of October. There is an unusual mixture about this place. It is both modern and old fashioned at the same time. We were visiting relatives around the area and did not sample evening meals. However, breakfasts were very good with efficient waiter/waitress service. All the staff were helpful and friendly. They seemed...

Horrl looks tired and is in need of updating Plenty of potential but even the fires were not lit on a cold and wet weekend Food was average although it looked good it had clearly been stood for a while which meant the fish was overlooked Such a shame it could be good

My company booked this hotel for a 2 day business meeting and it was the worst I have ever experienced in my 30+ years career. Avoid at all costs. You could find yourself in a small dark area (could never be described as a room!) at the end of the public bar listening to other guests have drinks, staff talking...

There are 14 of us that meet up a different hotels each year. This one had character, history, accommodating staff and lovely food. We were very well looked after even accounting for some of the, shall we say, demanding members amongst us! A special mention to Rachael for catering to our every need. A couple of points: if you are...

I have stayed in the Haycock Hotel for the last two weeks. The Hotel itself is both extremely beautiful on the inside and the outside. As are all the staff, from housekeeping to waiters/waitresses/chefs etc ect But I would like to thank them all from the bottom of my heart, for giving me an excellent service that would be worthy...

Quiet picturesque village, lovely walks and great country pubs with real fires! You would need a car to go to a town, shops etc, but we like walking and if you wish, you can walk for miles in gorgeous countryside with pubs enroute and even a tea room at Yarewell Mill County Park.

On our journey from Essex to Yorkshire with our greyhound, this hotel complex was most welcoming. The bar food was very good and the service great to the extent that they provided water for the dog. A friendly place worthy of recommendation. Called in again on the return journey and all was as good as before.

Helpful attentive staff. Hotel tired. Food a bit average but about what I would expect for the price we paid. Rooms comfortable and towels of good quality. Our cleaner Sue and Dininig room Rachel deserve a mention.
