Country Pate that should not have pistacho nuts in it? Otherwise adequate. Soup of the day not very clever, so much of it left. The bread an butter that accompanied was the best part of this dish, the bread tasty and between 1-2 Oz in the pat of butter. NO french wine in this restaurant anymore, so change your wine...

I'm not sure what's going on at The Bell to be honest but the meal quality seems to decline with each visit and the prices definitely don't reflect it. The days of some heart warming Dingly Dell pork dishes appear to have long gone and instead replaced by some more "out-there" dishes which just don't have the flavour they used...

This was the third Christmas lunch I've eaten here....the set menu sounds nice, the food is presented really well but somehow it never wows me! Sorry, but could take or leave The Bell for food. Never stayed here.

We have been to The Bell many times, usually a spur of the moment decision - where shall we go for lunch, always a snack as we have supper later. We visited earlier this week and, as after Christmas and New Year, generally eateries are quieter and this was no exception at The Bell. Driving has put paid to lunchtime...

This was a stunning meal, the food was all cooked beautifully and the staff were really friendly, my only slight and I do mean slight criticism was that we did feel a bit rushed. We had no intention of staying for the new year celebrations, it was just family and friends sharing good food and wine. They have exceeded expectations...

I booked a table at the Bell for our annual family Christmas get together. We chose from the Christmas party menu. We had a large party with 6 children of various ages. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating for our party. The food was exceptional too. Thank you to the chef and staff at the Bell for a wonderful...

I booked last year and it went well so we repeated the booking for this year, my team of 10 colleagues and I pre booked and ordered a meal from the Christmas menu and half of the attendees have told me since they want to go somewhere else next year, surprising really as I eat here a few times each...

We are grateful for all feedback and I am sorry you feel that, on this occasion, our main course vegetables and gravy have let you down. Your comments have been noted and will be discussed at our Christmas debrief. It is unfortunate that the matter was not mentioned at the time as it is much easier to rectify on the...

We had a superb stay at The Bell. The hotel is first rate with a great ambeyance. The car park at the rear is safe and accommodating. All the staff are warm and welcoming and a credit to the Hotel. The food in the Bistro is excellent and the service is first rate. The Hotel is well situated in a...

Haven't been here for about 7 years - met family for lunch, with each couple driving an hour and a half to get here. We weren't disappointed - ate in the bar - four main meals, three desserts, two coffees, six alcoholic drinks - we were all pleasantly full and the bill was under £100. We will be returning as...
