The Queens Head is one of our regulars. As always we enjoyed this visit. It was a busy evening with a wedding party in the house but there was no problem for us finding a table. We began with a drink in the bar before going through to the restaurant where we enjoyed good service and a great dinner. As... More

We booked through red letter days and our experiences with them continue to fall short. The venue is lovely but I feel the staff were under the cosh with a massive wedding on site. However the staff were friendly and cannot fault there. However I was served cold coffee. Not sure how that can happen? And the food didn't taste... More

Popped in on spec early afternoon for a drink, and ended up having lunch too! Staff are well groomed and welcoming, paying good attention to their customers and talking enthusiastically about the menu offerings. We opted to eat outside on the patio area and had a welcome drink while we waited for our choices. We did not have to wait... More

We stayed in Room 3. The room itself was OK - think Travelodge of about 15 years ago and a bit tired. The room had not been cleaned thoroughly (for some time) with only the main visible surfaces having been dusted/ hoovered. There was also a mess of wires hanging down from behind the TV and some flaking paintwork. The... More

Visited on a Friday for a cream tea I'd bought from Groupon. Couldn't fault it. Nice choice if finger sandwiches. Very good polite staff. They have a lovely garden which backs into the river Nene. Very popular place. We even saw a kingfisher in the garden. Dog and child friendly. Watch out for the car park entrance as it's easily... More

Unfortunately, I did not sleep well, although arranged for me to be as far away from main hotel as possible, a live band playing, too loud, if pre warned would have bought ear plugs. No hot water for shower in the morning, no welcome pack in room to ring reception so boiled kettle for a wash. On a positive, beautiful... More

The room that we stayed in smelt very damp throughout the night, the sides were sticky, cobwebs from the ceiling, very poor poor state of decoration. The event that we attended was great and the food was good. Jut let down by the accommodation.
