If you are even thinking of staying at this hotel don't do it. The first room I was " given" the key too, was cold, damp, and dirty. The heating did not work and was totally uninviting. On complaining to the manager he came and tried to sort the heating out, but alas nothing; after 30 minutes I went back... More

we stopped here for a drink on a Saturday afternoon. This is a sympathetically restored building offering a bar, restaurant and rooms. the bar area is small and quite intimate. Other couples were eating an attractive afternoon tea when we arrived. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere

This is some what a belated review and I apologise to Paul and his team for not posting earlier. We had a joint birthday and wedding anniversary party on 21 Aug. Right from the planning nothing was too much trouble and on the day the team were first rate. We had a BBQ down by the river and despite the... More

My partner and I was bought a buy a gift so we decided to book a night at this country pub with chalets attached. Because we wanted to go to the air museum the next day. The chalet was comfortable, but a bit dated. We had tea/ coffee facilities with complementary homemade biscuits. A large TV. White fluffy towels. Bed... More

Me and my husband had an over night stay with food. The place is stunning set in a pituresque village. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful and proffesional. The home made short bread in the room was stunning and food and service in the restaurant was amazing. Definately come here again.

We stayed for one night, mid week, at the end of August. It was a beautiful day and arriving at around 4pm we decided to take advantage by having a drink outside down by the river. It was quiet and peaceful. We ate in the pub for our evening meal and breakfast and the food was excellent and the staff great.... More

The Queens Head is one of our regulars. As always we enjoyed this visit. It was a busy evening with a wedding party in the house but there was no problem for us finding a table. We began with a drink in the bar before going through to the restaurant where we enjoyed good service and a great dinner. As... More

We booked through red letter days and our experiences with them continue to fall short. The venue is lovely but I feel the staff were under the cosh with a massive wedding on site. However the staff were friendly and cannot fault there. However I was served cold coffee. Not sure how that can happen? And the food didn't taste... More
