Came to Stilton for a wedding, The village is lovely with a few great pubs that do very good food, One next door is very good but bear in mind the kitchen close at 9pm. There is a good looking Curry House too. The Stilton Lodge is basic but well, run and clean. The staff cannot do enough, but not... More

This place is very well-located if you need to stop off for a night's break on a long journey as it's right next to the A1, very accessible and pretty easy to find. However, there is not much more that can be said for it, except that it is very inexpensive. It is not a B&B as there is no... More

Really disappointed by the Stilton lodge. We stayed one night in room 2 which was sport themed. I intentionally went for this hotel as it has such high reviews and I wanted to stay in a proper hotel rather then a chain. For the money I will stay in a premier inn in future. Bed was hard and we both... More

In the room there was no hot water. I reported Sunday morning explaining that I booked for two night but if there is no hot water I need to know as I need to do a shower. The manager assured that will be handled but when I arrived at 10pm in the night there was no hot water, the room... More

GOOD POINTS -5th visit here although now under new ownership. Although everything was great as always with slight exception. Already booked again for next month :-) BAD POINTS - Unusually no heating in the evenings so felt cold on chilly nights, I assume the new owners have changed the settings as on other visits it was always lovely & warm... Large room, clean and comfortable bedding, friendly, helpful staff. Perfect if like me you have a faddy diet as you have fridge, microwave, kettle crockery, cutlery and you can cook yourself happy. Only problem was the free wifi was rubbish. Couldn't get signal in our room. In fact hard to get 3G even.

I’ve stayed at the Stilton Lodge now three days each week for the past eleven months. It is very clean and comfortable. Quite simply you will not get this level of accommodation for a better price in the area. The rooms are similar to a travel lodge with the added benefit of a kitchenette including fridge, microwave, kettle, sink and... More

I loved everything about the place! The style of the room as each room has a theme. Ours was the Africa room. The kitchen hidden behind cupboard doors with kettle, cutlery, fridge etc was the icing on the cake. Had everything we needed to enjoy the stay. Great value, near to all the pubs, clean and the bed was very... More

Stayed for one night on business. Arrived late just as staff were going home, the hotel isn't staffed overnight, but there is a key box and a phone number To ring to get your key. Room was clean, a reasonable size and bed comfortable but TV quite small. There was no bath just a shower and this was quite small.... More
