This is one of the best hotels Iv'e had the pleasure to stay in. It was recommended to us by another hotel who was fully booked. Margaret couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed in the self catering lodge which was beautiful. The rooms were big, all had en suites, a lovely lounge and a well equipped kitchen dinner. The... More

It is not unreasonable in the 21st century to expect standards of cleanliness, comfort, civility, etc. commensurate with the price you pay, with a degree of tolerance within certain parameters. Clifford House ticks all these boxes for me and at the top of the scale. In these circumstance I wouldn't normally write a review but am prompted to do so... More

We took an early (transit, non-resident) breakfast with Margaret at her great little place, immediately upon arrival on the 06:45 inbound from Pembroke - ideal way to greet the Emerald Isle, with Full Irish served all round. We then also stayed in the Family Room, a fortnight later, for our last night, before taking the 08:45 back out to UK.... More

Lovely location overlooking the sea with large well kept gardens. Margaret greeted us on arrival with fresh coffee and some lovely homemade cakes. Superb facilities lounge, conservatory , tv lounge. Lovely well maintained rooms with comfy beds. Short walk to various pubs & restaurants. Great home cooked, grilled breakfast and only 5 min to ferry check in :-D

I stayed in this gorgeous guesthouse recently on the way to the ferry. I arrived with plenty of time to see the area and enjoy the views. The owner was a lovely lady who was so helpful, accommodating and extremely welcoming. She recommended a great local place to have dinner also. I sat in the garden that evening and the... More

The house is spotless, the beds are comfortable, the welcome is warm and the breakfast is outstanding. Perfectly placed for the ferries which are only minutes away. We now stay there every time we visit Ireland. Strongly recommended +++++.

We received a very warm welcome and a delicious tray of Tea & Coffee, as well as a plate of homemade cakes and biscuits. Margaret was very welcoming and gave us tips on the local surroundings and places for an evening meal. The house is very well kept and has lots of interesting photos and individual touches. Breakfast was delicious... More

We stayed the night before taking the ferry from the port. It was very convenient and I'd definitely use it as a stop off again. The rooms were lovely: spacious, comfy bed, beautiful views. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The tea and biscuits were a nice touch! Lots of parking and it was lovely and quiet... More

We spent a very pleasant night at Clifford House after arriving on the ferry from Wales. The owner, Margaret, greeted us warmly, and it was clear that she and her husband take great pride in the place. It was immaculately clean and well-kept, very comfortable, and full of intriguing paintings and sculpture -- much of it created by the owners... More

This was a nice place, for the most part. The room (8) was clean, though I found some small webs by the window (my guess is because it was left open). Breakfast was good and the host was nice, The view from the front of the B&B is spectacular. There is also a trail that goes along the cliff, to... More
