Lovely location overlooking the sea with large well kept gardens. Margaret greeted us on arrival with fresh coffee and some lovely homemade cakes. Superb facilities lounge, conservatory , tv lounge. Lovely well maintained rooms with comfy beds. Short walk to various pubs & restaurants. Great home cooked, grilled breakfast and only 5 min to ferry check in :-D

I stayed in this gorgeous guesthouse recently on the way to the ferry. I arrived with plenty of time to see the area and enjoy the views. The owner was a lovely lady who was so helpful, accommodating and extremely welcoming. She recommended a great local place to have dinner also. I sat in the garden that evening and the... More

The house is spotless, the beds are comfortable, the welcome is warm and the breakfast is outstanding. Perfectly placed for the ferries which are only minutes away. We now stay there every time we visit Ireland. Strongly recommended +++++.

We received a very warm welcome and a delicious tray of Tea & Coffee, as well as a plate of homemade cakes and biscuits. Margaret was very welcoming and gave us tips on the local surroundings and places for an evening meal. The house is very well kept and has lots of interesting photos and individual touches. Breakfast was delicious... More

We stayed the night before taking the ferry from the port. It was very convenient and I'd definitely use it as a stop off again. The rooms were lovely: spacious, comfy bed, beautiful views. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The tea and biscuits were a nice touch! Lots of parking and it was lovely and quiet... More

We spent a very pleasant night at Clifford House after arriving on the ferry from Wales. The owner, Margaret, greeted us warmly, and it was clear that she and her husband take great pride in the place. It was immaculately clean and well-kept, very comfortable, and full of intriguing paintings and sculpture -- much of it created by the owners... More

This was a nice place, for the most part. The room (8) was clean, though I found some small webs by the window (my guess is because it was left open). Breakfast was good and the host was nice, The view from the front of the B&B is spectacular. There is also a trail that goes along the cliff, to... More

Very comfortable friendly B&B. Long established with great service with a sparkling freshly cooked Irish breakfast hard to beat. Just a few minutes from the ferry port and a walk on the beach a great venue for a ferry stop over or a few nights to explore the area. A few minutes from a local Eco garden where you can... More

The gardens at this home are well tended and gorgeous; and the setting so serene. Breakfast was wonderful, and getting the ferry was a quick ten minute walk along the hilltop and down stairs with a railing. Margaret offered tea, snacks, water, and very precise guidance on nearby supper offerings. Clifford House is a great value - with a family... More

Warmly recommended! What a memorable stay we had at Margaret and Michael's place...Our room was very nicely decorated, with everything provided that you might wish for. Breakfast was also very complete: full Irish including fresh fruit and yoghurt. While we were planning to stay for one night, we had to stay longer because my girlfriend suffered from appendicitis the first... More
