Margaret is a great host and in our three weeks in Ireland, i would rate her as the best host. She is accommodative, helpful and welcoming. She makes the best breakfast (her whisky raisins porridge is second to none). But because it is in the country, we were not surprised that the TV reception is poor and wifi is only... More

Almost all the reviews are the same... It was an exceptional experience. We were welcomed with a silver tray with tea and biscuits. There is a warmth that Margaret exudes. This is not a B&B but rather a home that takes you in. She and husband Dave make you feel that they really care about you as a person and... More

I have only ever once before stayed in a hotel this good, and that was the Factor's House in Cromarty in Scotland. Foxmount is wonderful, Margaret is a perfect host, and the house is beautiful and a joy to share. If you are travelling half way around the world, this is the place you must visit in Ireland. Food, comfort... More

Our host was a very classy lady! She was welcoming and made us feel right at home in her county manor. It was very neat staying in an authentic manor house - you could just imagine the original inhabitants staying there and utilizing the sitting rooms and dining room. Beautiful ambiance. Beautiful setting. Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend.

A rural aspect in every sense but only a short drive to Waterford. Margaret and Heather are friendly cheerful hostesses who work hard to maintain the old world charm of the house and its contents. There are many choices of delicious food available at breakfast, even porridge with honey and whiskey. Everything is cooked to order and served with beautiful... More

Margaret was a gracious, welcoming, and kind hostess. The rooms were clean and ample roominess for weary travelers. We felt welcomed as family. Margaret and family typified the warm spirit of the Irish people. The stately setting is on a working Irish farm surrounded by its own beautiful gardens. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked Foxmount Country House as a stopover on our way to Killarney and were very pleased to discover this house as it was so full of olde world charm and elegance. We were very grateful for detailed directions to reach the location as it is so tucked away in the back woods of Waterford especially as arrived in the... More

This house makes you like your are the lord and lady of the manor. Beautiful country setting with hourses and dogs and amazing country views. The rooms are simple and comfortable with classic touches, in furniture and bathroom fixtures. The hostess and her family are friendly and are great resources of local resturants and attractions. Wonderful breakfast made to order.

This is a gorgeous Georgian country house on beautiful grounds. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. We were given a warm welcome with tea and cakes. The breakfast was the best we've encountered in Ireland. The wifi is excellent. We would definitely return, and recommend it highly!

What a gem of a find. We were going to a party close to Foxmount and I found this lovely place on tripadvisor. It is every bit as lovely as the pictures portray. I was met at the door by Margaret, the owner who was absolutely charming. She showed me to my room, which was as good as any 5... More
