An amazing, unique experience on the Wild Atlantic Way Ardtarmon House is in the heart of the spectacular Yeats Country in Sligo. A majestic 19th Century house which nestles amid tall trees at the end of a winding avenue. Charles and Christa Henry are fantastic, warm hosts who immediately make you feel at home. Some years ago, we booked Ardtarmon... More

Charles and Christa were wonderful hosts. We stayed in a cottage in the back of the property and it was very nice. Breakfast was great and after we walked to the beach. 10-15 minutes. It is a great walk, well worth it. Charles let me borrow a pair of Welly's and explore some potato fields surrounding the property. (I am... More

One of the loveliest places I've stayed in. A house of beauty, character and peacefulness, with most gracious hosts. Grassy private path leads to stony beach, where you could swim if plucky enough or just go for a walk. Not for you if you require modern décor, TV in bedroom and / or your own tea / coffee making facilities.... More

We rented a cottage in the grounds of beautiful Ardtarmon House. The grounds are beautiful with a private route down to a glorious beach. The house and cottages are old and authentic, but perfect for our stay. Charles and Christa were delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed a hearty cooked breakfast on the morning of our departure.

Warm and clean self-catering accomodation on a charming country estate. Basic facilities and but our hosts were welcoming and friendly (so was Kali the dog and Jacko the cat). Desperately sad to see so much of the house and estate run down and in need of some tlc. Short walk away from the private beach and nearest shop/pub within 5... More

The house is very stately, owners delightful to spend time with and learn from about the area. The dog is a bonus, he will take you to the beach. The rooms were large and bright with the sunlight (during the day), very clean and comfortable. The grounds and gardens were easy to walk about, well taken care of with pride... More

Beautiful charming old house in lovely location with own beach a short walk away. Friendly and helpful hosts, house has been in the family for generations. Rooms very spacious although lacking some facilities, no shower, coffee/tea facility or tv in our room. Feel it would benefit from updating decor and furnishings as rather tired.

We stayed in Ardtarmon House's Garden Cottage (self-catering) for 3 nights over the May bank holiday weekend, and we had a wonderfully relaxed time there. Very welcoming and always helpful, Christa and Charles phoned us at the time of booking to check which one of their cottages would suit our family best. They then added a single bed to the... More

We have been coming back to Ardtarmon House for many years - we love the peace and tranquillity along with beautiful large rooms with very comfortable beds. Henry and Christa always make us feel so welcome and Ardtarmon House is a great base from which to cycle and walk - this peninsula has so many interesting and historical areas. Thoroughly... More
