Spent 22nd to 26th Aug, 2016 on a Caledonian Bus Tour of Connemara and Galway based at the Harlequin Hotel, Castlebar. The accommodation is excellent a Four Star that lives up to its rating. The food on offer every night was a choice from three starters and three main courses, the desert was ice cream and a different type of... More

Stayed here earlier in the summer, a last minute booking. Hotel kept very clean I was impressed with the decor. Food could have been much better for its price although the staff were friendly. Rooms and food overpriced, an average one night stay probably won't be recommending to a friend

We had a very pleasant stay at the Harlequin. Following phone directions made it hard to find, but if you stay on the main roads I think it would be much easier. We got a very large room (mini suite?). A fabulously comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom, with a great in-bath shower. Spotless throughout. Free parking. We also had... More

From initial check in receptionist was extremely friendly & helpful. Room was brilliant - lots of space and everything spotless. Location of hotel was very central - close to the town centre. Great advice given not just about eating in but also where to go to in town. Great experience all round.

I stayed here on Thursday night the 18th of August. I have to say I thought the hotel was lovely – I didn’t have high expectations from the outside but I remembered the saying “never judge a book by its cover “ and this is certainly true for this hotel. We parked in the multi-story car park (which was a... More

Upon first entry, this room looked great. However, it had a disabled persons bathroom that I did not request. There were 3 spiders in the room. The rug had a stain that looked like old blood or some other bodily fluid. The room was hot and there was no AC or fan. The window could be opened but there was... More

This boutique hotel is easy to find, has secure complimentary parking and is in a great location for walking into Castlebar. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times- the receptionist offered to book us a table in one of the restaurants in town and gave us some recommendations. The rooms are spacious and are made funky by the... More

I was here on business for a week. The rooms are nice and spacious and can't be faulted. Reception staff are friendly. But these are the only two pros. -The food is overpriced and menus are built to make you buy two courses for 27/28 Euro. -Food stopped serving at 9 which is very early especially in high season. -No...
