We had a lovely stay here this weekend. The location was perfect for us. The accomodation was excellent and our host, Martina, is fantastic. She could not have been nicer to us. This B&B is a great place to base yourself if you are going to climb Croagh Patrick.

We really enjoyed our stay. Martina was very helpful in planning our excursions to Achill Island, Croagh Patrick, Cong, and other area stops. The food was delicious and kid looked forward to it every morning. The room was very comfortable and spacious and beautiful location in the countryside. Would definitely come back.

Myself and my dad stayed here one night the only thing that was wrong was our stay wasn't long enough..the rooms were absolutely stunning so spacious and comfortable. The view of my room were stunning. The setting of the b and b is wonderful and show why Ireland is such a beautiful country. There are so many good things to say about this place but the biggest complaint has to go to Martina and Larry the wonderfully hosts who meet us at the door, made us feel right at home from minute we got out of car. Nothing is to much trouble for them we even got a lift into town. They show generally care for their guest and interest in what they doing..you wont get better hosts all this at a very reasonable price a bargain effect. I will stay here again .

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely B&B. There were 3 of us in 2 rooms. The rooms were beautiful with every care taken to make us comfortable. The breakfasts were superb with fresh home made jams and breads. We were given helpful tips on visiting nearby locations. Thanks for welcoming us.

We had flights booked into Knock airport in early July and were having trouble booking hotel accomodation in Westport. After some internet searching, we came across this B&B halfway between Westport and Castlebar. I'm so glad we did. It is a lovely house in the countryside and the hosts were very welcoming. The room was comfortable and spotless. Breakfasts were excellent. Would recommend this B&B to anyone planning to visit Co. Mayo.

I firmly believe that the quality of a restaurant, hotel, guest house is in the service and the people....provided the place itself and the food (where relevant) is not poor. The Garden Gates was lovely, comfortable, and run by excellent people. With a superb breakfast, and home made bread. A treat. So highly recommended. And close to lovely Westport, where dinner at the Black Truffle was also excellent. All in all, a very fine 24 hours...

Martina very friendly & helpful Despite a necessary early departure, Martina was insistent I had breakfast and it was excellent. Certainly hope I can visit again before too long...
