We had booked a double room ,but were given a family room which was very poor in standard for a 4* hotel. The base to the extra bed was broken and the bed was pushed up against the opposite wall. The paper on the main wall in the room was peeling and the paint work on the others was very marked. In the bathroom there was a lot of heavy water stains on the ceiling and the wall. In places the paint was flakeing. The wash basin is cracked in a number of places. There was a lot of dust on the wardrobe and skirting with cob webs in the corners of the ceiling and wall. All was not lost however as we had a really nice time in the restaurant and the staff were very plesant. We also had some drinks in the bar later and again this was nice. While we were disappointed with the room we still enjoyed our time away. But as this was our first time to get away and have a meal handed to you in such a long time ,because of the covid lockdown. We could have slept in a tent on the side of the road and still be happy. We are however very disappointed with the Hotel as we did email the Hotel with regards to the room and have not received anything back from them.As most hotels would have been closed because of covid . This was a perfect time to do any upgrades or refurbishments were needed.

I was so looking forward to staying here, the deal looked great online. Sadly however it seems this hotel is out to scam you out of your money. Parking is extra Breakfast is 10 per person, including children under 2. We were overcharged breakfast for 2 nights extra for the kids, I heard another lady and her family complaining about being overcharged too. Disappointed as I was happy to help out the hotel industry after the difficult year, but unfortunately this hotel took advantage. Do not recommend staying here. A lot of hidden charges that aren't disclosed. The room was clean, the hospitality unfortunately let them down.

I was charged €10 for my 1 year old plus €10 for my 4 year old for breakfast even though I told her they may or may not eat a mouthful of weetabix. She then mistakenly charged both children for two nights when we were only staying one. When I walked away from reception another mammy came up to me and said she was charged the exact same thing for her toddler and baby... And she was also charged for two nights instead of one for this. These charges were refunded because we just cancelled breakfast but the refund won't be any use to our trip as won't be in the accounts until after the weekend. The carpark is an added charge. I told her i wasn't made aware of the car parking charges when booking. It said car park was available at the hotel but never mentioned any costs she said she will talk to the design team. If I had known this when booking I'd see other hotels were actually cheaper. Room was clean thank god but the family room had no space at all to squeeze in a carry cot so baby had to sleep in the bed with us. The entrance hall seats were filthy. Full of crisps and sticky juice all over the table. A man was yelling at reception he came around from the pub part. So rough. People were hanging around out front shouting a cursing and taking drugs. NIGHTMARE hotel. View from the window as pictured is of the front of the hotel. It sums up the place well.

Check in quick and efficient. Room clean and tidy. That's where the good stuff ends. Currently staying in room 101 very noisy outside with big screen and bar underneath. Doesn't usually bother me but having witnessed the atmosphere and being a resident I decided to go downstairs for a drink or two. What a mistake, left waiting an hour to be served to be told order at the bar. Barman was serving non residents outside but refused us saying table service only. People constantly walking past without masks. One urinal closed in toilet leaving 5-6 queuing in a phone box. Horrible bar service. Covid den. This kind of hotel is spreading Covid. My issues will be reported to relevant health authorites. Booked 2 nights will only stay tonight. Glad to be home tomorrow. Never again.
