Great service, very clean and comfy rooms. The open fire was a welcome sight after a great day of trail riding . Highly recommended and close to the trail parks and the local pubs. Plenty of information of the local area and not far from Mitchellstown.

Stayed overnight on an MTB trip with 8 others. We got a very warm and friendly welcome when we arrived tired and dirty. The hostel was spotless and the showers were excellent and most welcome. Fantastic facilities for trail riders. Bike lockup and hose facilities, secure car park, great showers, comfy bed, open fire in the main lounge and great...

Six of us stayed here for a mountain biking trip to Ballyhoura in November '16. It's my second time staying in Ballyhoura Hostel, and I love this place! I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The beds are super-comfortable; the place is impeccably clean. The individual, private shower/wash facilities are perfect, with plenty of hot water. The kitchen is well equipped...

Being greeted at the door by Seamus or Teresa is like coming home. Two of the nicest people you will ever meet go the extra mile to make your stay special. The hostel is immaculately clean and the attention to detail is fantastic. A large cosy sitting room with an open fire surrounded by soft seating is a great place...

The reviews don't lie, this place is the greatest hostel you will ever stay in. Every table, chair, stool is hand carved wood. The owner is a really warm, friendly woman and good craic too. There is a fire lit at all times, a sauna which I never got to use, and a couple of good pubs in the village,...

This is a wonderful place. Everything about it was given thought, lots of love and attention to detail. It has wonderful, partly self made, partly exotic, furniture, and nevertheless it has no nonsense design and allows for rigorous cleanliness. On top of it Teresa and Séamus are very nice people and it's a pleasure having a chat with them. Maybe...
