My mum, my children and I had a wonderful holiday with Teresa and Seamus in their wonderful hostel. No body wanted to leave when it was time for us to go home. Teresa and Seamus were so helpful with our queries and assisted with our booking for horse riding with Ballyhoura Horse riding with John Joe. We had a beautiful... More

We four first cousins had the best time in this well run, comfortable, cosy, spotlessly clean hostel. All aminities were of the highest quality. Everything you could ask for was available in the kitchen & living room and if not Seamus & Tersea would seek it out. The open fire was a touch. Great hosts, fantastic hostel & a find... More

Well that fire was badly needed the weekend you were here. My God, it just rained non stop, you were very unlucky in that respect. Of course, it lifted when you were leaving, typical, but hopefully it gave you a good view of the Galtees on your way home. We were delighted that you decided to have your annual family... More

I am not usually one to write reviews on places I've visited but I have to make an exception for this place. Having stayed in three hostels a couple of years ago whilst completing the three peaks (over a weekend) with a few work friends, I thought that the brand new hostel at the bottom of Snowdon would take some... As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're home. Teresa and Seamus treat you as house guests and friends, not customers. Their home is AMAZING and the accommodations were SUPERB; hands down the BEST hostel I've ever stayed in! Everything was super clean, worked well, and very comfortable; the kitchen was both immaculate and well-equipped, the fire was... More

Went here as part of a group of 14 men celebrating a 40th birthday party. Never stayed in a hostel before, it was always hotels or nothing for me but boy was I wrong. A great layout to the building, rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious with 24hr keycard access. The welcome from the owners was second to none and... More

Kilfinenane is very much off the beaten track but the Ballyhoura hostel provides a fantastic welcome to all. Seamus and Theresa provide a reading room, Kitchen / Dining Room and very comfortable bedrooms. First time staying in a hostel and I would definitely go back. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The village has a number of pubs... More
