We celebrated our wedding at the No1 Perry last Saturday (19th Dec) and we couldn't of asked for anything more. Everything about the day was perfect. There was exceptional attention to detail in every aspect, decor, food and the level of attentiveness of staff was second to none. Bríd ensured the whole day ran smoothly and looked after every single guest. There were constant compliments throughout the day and night about how friendly and helpful Bríd and all the other staff were. The food was beautiful and the the bacon butties at the end of the night were a huge hit 😁. We cannot thank all the staff enough for looking after us all so well and for giving us such an amazing day in such uncertain times. A massive thank you to you all. John & Amy
I'm lucky to say this was a return visit. I have had many occasions here from overnight stays to family birthdays ect. This time it was afternoon tea with my niece. As soon as we walked through the door we were treated like old friends. Everything was perfect from the beautiful room to the fabulous food. The quality is outstanding. My niece was made feel like a princess and we were spoilt from start to finish. It's such a special place. So luxurious but with a feel of home and comfort. Once again 5 stars and can't wait for my next visit.
We had afternoon tea at No.1 Pery Square and I couldn't rate it highly enough. The food was exceptional, the staff were so attentive and friendly and it is amazing value. The room was also respectfully laid out for suitable distance between tables. I will be back asap.
Four of us dined in the Restaurant on Friday 11th Dec. We arrived on time and our table was ready. On sitting at our table we were very happy with our table as we were well spaced from the next table. I noticed that my wine class had a red hue and I thought that it might have been stained over time , which would not have been an issue. However, when I picked up the class and examined it closely, I noticed that it was a used wine glass and had certainly not been washed. Two of the other glasses on the table had also been used for white wine. When we pointed this out to the lady who was serving us there was an initial reluctance to accept the situation but the glasses were then taken away. Considering the scale of this potential public health mishap I would have expected a fulsome apology not a weak minded acceptance. To be honest, in normal times having used glasses is not acceptable but in Covid 19 times it beggars belief. When the 2 diners closest to us finished up I noticed that the table was rubbed with a cloth but no sign of any alcohol based cleaner or cleaning on chairs, etc. In other words it was a min effort, no different to what you would have expected pre Covid but no longer enough. We were 4 sitting at a table designed for 6, halfway through our meal the server asked if she could take away the spare table. Of course, we agreed but then to our amazement it was added to the table closest to ours meaning that this would now be approx 1 meter away. When we questioned this, prior to the 4 diners sitting down, the server said that they would be accommodated in the residents area. Again, we should not have been put in the position. The rules are crystal clear, min of 2 meters between diners. This was not the case with another couple of tables as well in the room, they were not the required 2 metres distance. Whilst the female staff working in the dining room wore their masks properly the one male working there constantly wore his mask covering his mouth but below his nose. Finally, many diners were going to the bathroom without their masks and on leaving I noticed a group of folks who were stopped chatting to another group. We sent these issues to the Hotel and the response was wholly inadequate stating that 'A change in guest numbers without confirmation from the guest has been a issue for us over the busy weekend'. We are living through a pandemic. We are doing everything we can (we only interact with those in our family pod - including the night we dined in the restaurant) and to see this level of flouting the regulations is beyond annoying.…
Excellent accommodation in the heart of Limerick. Rooms are well kitted out, comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly and efficient and most considerate and careful in these times of lockdown restrictions. The restaurant is excellent too, if staying try not to miss a dinner in the Long Room.
