Fanad House is in a great location, well within walking distance of the city centre and with ample parking. It is a big B&B so don't expect the homely atmosphere of smaller operations. However, the facilities are good and the value for money is very good. Rooms are a good size with teamaking facilities and wifi is available (though I... More

I booked my group of U.S. university students into Fanad during our 12-day tour of Ireland, and it was one of the two best places we stayed. The breakfast buffet was huge and abundant--yogurts, pastries, fruit--and made a great break from the usual "full Irish" plate. The rooms were comfortable and the house was a leisurely stroll from Kilkenny castle... More

I stayed here twice at the start and finish of a cycle tour. Was met by a different person each time I arrived neither seemed sure of what was going on. Compared to all the other landladies I encountered Fanad score nil points. This is a large b&b so there were quite a few for breakfast on the second time.... More

Comfortable room and a well made breakfast. Drawback is that other than your room there is really no place to sit and relax inside. I prefer a library or something like that to sit and read or plan the day. That said this is a very nice, clean friendly B&B and serves its purpose well.

We only stayed here for one night. Our room ,number 10,was fairly small with a very small, cramped shower room. The decor was a bit tired and dated. I was surprised to find our top sheet was 'ripped' in several places. We struggled to see the tiny tv high up on the wardrobe....the picture was 'fuzzy'....not a flat screen. It was... More

This property is extremely well kept, from the outside gardens to the spacious rooms and bathrooms. The best buffet spread we saw on a 10 day trip, with a hot breakfast to follow. Abundant parking & less than a mile into town center. Owners are warm and kind and caring and hard working. You'll be happy here.

We booked 2 rooms for our family of 5, for just one night. I wish we could have stayed longer. The place is very cute, comfortable and clean, with very friendly owners. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Love the location. It's just a short walk to the castle and park, and the main downtown area. This is the best... More

My daughter and I enjoyed out two night stay at Fanad House in April. Pat is a great host. The rooms very comfortable and clean; breakfast was delicious. There is plenty of parking. The location is right across from the park that is part of Kilkinney Castle and was an easy walk into town which we really enjoyed exploring. The... More

Place was quiet, with a room that fit our family of 4 well. Within walking distance to restaurants and Kilkenny castle. Excellent Irish breakfast with sausage, eggs, black pudding, fruit, toast, cereals, and more.
