It can be difficult to find non-hotel accommodation in Kilkenny in peak season. Bregagh House is quite central and convenient, neither too close to noisy nightlife nor too far from the main areas of interest. I booked it last Feb and I'm glad I did. The Brennan family are perfect hosts and most helpful. The breakfast was really excellent and... More

Not the best but ok. Very hot and not air conditioned. Windows had to be open all night for air and we could hear drunks singing at the nearby pubs throughout the night. Nice patio. Free wifi. Possibly it's better not to go in the summer, since the Windows will need to be open.

What a lovely place to stay. We had a nightmare situation with accommodation before this and bregagh house B&b owners were outstanding and so helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Perfect location. I would highly recommend it and definitely will return.

As another reviewer has said, although this is a family run B&B, the feel is really of a small, budget motel. Rooms are clean enough, but not in any way luxurious, and the views out of some of the bedroom windows are uninspiring, to say the least - not the fault of the owners however. I like a hard bed,... James and his parents were lovely accommodating people. Especially since they let us watch an important international sports game in their private lounge. Spectacular location with parking made easy. Directly opposite the famed tower and a very easy stroll into the Main Street. Would happily return and stay here again!

I was so comfortable at the Bregagh B&B in Kilkenny and had grown so fond of Roseanne, John and James (and my cosy room) that I was tempted to just stay there for my entire four weeks in Ireland. Generally, cleanliness, a good bed and a reasonable cost are the top criteria when I choose accomodations during travel. Bregagh B&B... More

Bregagh House was an ideal stop for us near the end of a memorable trip in Ireland. Arriving somewhat later than our projected time, we were pleased to encounter friendly James in the parking lot, waving us into the last available spot. The house is inviting, cozy and tastefully decorated. The Brennans are very welcoming, accommodating and clearly enjoy meeting... More

Very lovely welcoming owners who look after you as much as you need while also giving you the space and peace and quiet - was perfect for my work trips. Also fab location. The rooms are super clean and I didn't have any noise issues. Used this place 4 times already and will definitely be back.
