Stayed in San Antonio for two nights in November. We had a three single bedded room on the ground floor. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. We had an en suite shower and ample supplies of tea and coffee. The B&B is a short walk, or taxi ride, to Kilkenny city centre, with ample parking. The breakfast was first class including delicious home made brown bread (the ingredients of which will remain a family secret). The owners Luke, Marie and Stephen are very, friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning here for our next visit to Kilkenny. Ron & Angi
The owners of this B&B are super lovely, as you come to expect whilst travelling in Ireland. They are only too happy to help with ideas on things to see and do. I had a room with a double and single bed which was very spacious. Tea/Coffee making facilities and a television, plus free wifi (which I didn't need to use). The bathroom had a shower only but it was clean and the towels were replenished daily. Very clean and comfortable, the windows also open well for fresh air. I stayed for four nights in a rainy part of June and was never cold in my room. Breakfast was lovely, you have a choice of a few different styles of hot breakfasts and there are also cereals, toast, croissants and yogurt available. Access to the property is nice and easy by foot or car, as it is situated on a main road. It's only a 15 minute walk from the city centre. A great place to stay whilst exploring Kilkenny City!…
Everything was awesome! I had a nap when I arrived. Very peaceful... Thank you for the local knowledge.... Keep up the good work.. Chef sauce and crispy bacon..just the way Iike it! Thank you Stephen!
Pros: -Owners were very friendly and very accommodating. -Full Irish breakfast was delicious. -Parking out the front of the house. -Didn't need for anything in the room. -Plenty of hot water for our showers. Cons -Little walk out of town center but owners called us a taxi when we needed it (we were girls in heels on a night out!)
Comfortable room , very clean and peaceful. Although it was on a main road it was extremely quite. Breakfast was very good . My husband had the full Irish and I had scrabbled eggs with tomatoes , both were cooked perfectly. Plenty of tea, coffee & fruit juice . There was also yogurt , cereals, fruit etc. The service was extremely good.Luke and his son Stephen were the perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming.
