Just returned from an overnight stay at the Lyrath Hotel for a Nathan Carter Concert. It was my second visit to this hotel and was certainly a different experience to the last time. Staff at reception lacked courtesy on arrival. There was a mix up with regard our dinner reservation for the incorrect restaurant. When at last we were allocated...

I spend a few night in Lyrath last week and found the hotel to be very comfortable with excellent service and customer care. We eat in the bar on our first night and the food was great as was service, breakfast is good with a wide selection on the buffet, thought that both the sausages and bacon could be improved...

We have stayed in The Lyrath Hotel many times over the past few years, however have seem such an improvement in the hotel on our last visit, it is obvious for all to see that there is a new management team in place and that the standards have improved greatly. For the first time, we saw managers on the floor...

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago. The restaurant was a disaster, waited for 1 hr 30 mins for main course, staff were all over the place they didnt seem to have any system. Wrong courses arrived eventually. To make matters worse had to queue for breakfast for at least 40 mins, This is not what you expect at...

After leaving the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, we traveled to Lyrath Estate. When doing my research, I hought there would be more of a castle feel that an upscale modern hotel feel. The night was very comfortable and I enjoyed walking around the hotel. Kilkenny itself is a beautiful town, I was just hoping for more of a castle feel...

This hotel catered to all of our needs on our wedding weekend. Old house for the after ceremony pictures and modern room for holding the meal. The hotel has a lovely pool area which has views of the grounds and you can take a nice walk there with the resident golden retriever dogs which is a lovely additional touch.

This was our fourth stay at Lyrath over 4 years and by far the worse. On the 3 previous stays even the most minor of issues were always dealt with swiftly, professionally & courteously by the management team and we always left happy, relaxed and vowing to return. Not this time though..... Dirty crockery in room, poor food and long...

Arrival One of the highlights of the hotel was the arrival. It was a hectic evening, but the door man (Tom) was as warm and as welcoming as you could wish for, dedicating time not only to sort you out, but to explain the Hotel, it's buildings and history Reception Modern and welcoming. The staff were friendly and efficient and...

This is a stunning hotel. We got a huge suite upgrade with two sofas separate living two bathrooms. Very very nice. Really enjoyed it. Lovely staff spa could do with upgraded esp the outdoor part. Well done and I believe it went into sale the weekend we stayed. It has slight room for improvement but I'm sure new owners will...
