Our trip to Ireland was basically unplanned other than the lodging in Dublin the day we arrived. With a general idea of places to visit, our plan was to stay at B&B's along the way without a set schedule. Our first B&B stay was the Celtic House. What an awesome experience! John met us when we arrived, answered so many...

We spent a couple of days with friends at the Celtic-House, John and Angela were great hosts. The accommodations were great and a great location. Breakfast was great and we were only about 5 minutes walking distance from town. We recommend a stay if you have an opportunity.

John and Angela are extremely warm and welcoming. The B &B is within walking distance to pubs and shops with excellent food just down the road. Ktylers nearby. It has its own secure car park making it a wonderful option for exploring Killkenny since parking is always a problem in the City. Comfortable rooms in a quiet part of the...

Location was one of two reasons for selecting Celtic House for our stay in Kilkenny, and it truly delivered. A short 5 minute walk into town and a great recommendation from our host made for a lovely evening of food and music in town. The other reason for our selection of this location was that as a party of 3...

Located just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Kilkenny, perfect as we were able to leave the car safely parked in the private garden at the back of the house. We were warmly welcomed and well looked after by Lisa for the weekend. Breakfasts were generous and set us up for the day. It was a chilly...

You'd have a hard time finding a place to stay with a more convenient location than this one. Just a couple blocks from pubs, restaurants, shops & attractions, yet located on a nice quiet street. My wife & I stayed for two nights in Room 1, which had a nice view of several of the churches in town. Parking was...

This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience in Ireland. It was great. John and his wife couldn't have been nicer. They suggested a restaurant, right down the street. It had the best fish and chips. Highly recommend the CelticHouse.

Stayed here on a Saturday night recently. On arriving in the pokey room 2, it was freezing cold and had to turn on the heating straight away. The shower was weak. On waking the following morning, I was alarmed to see there was a brown stain near the head of the bed near the pillow. I somehow hadn't spotted it...

This review in incorrect. Our linen comes in from a professional linen company, who deliver to us every week. I personally dress the beds and would therefore have noticed any imperfections. We would certainly not allow anything like this to pass our standard of housekeeping

Breakfast was top notch and we unfirtunately slept in on the second morning but when we went downstairs, the lady of the house gave us tea and toast anyway, even though we were an hour late. Then the man of the house came back from the shop and brought us a full Irish that he had kept in the oven...

Room was clean and adequate. Toilet needed management's help at time but generally worked. Breakfast was good. Angela, the proprietress, is an amateur genealogist and helped us find distant cousins we were looking for. She even telephoned them and we later had a lovely visit in their home.
