We stayed in Croan Cottages for a short break with our dog. The location is beautiful and if you’re looking for a break away from everything I would highly recommend it. A visit (short walk away) to Castlemorris Woods is a must and the animals are great at the cottage. Some points to note, some of the facilities in the cottage are quite dated (cooker needs replacing, furniture was a little threadbare) also our cottage only had plastic table and chairs which was quite dirty but all other cottages had wooden benches which seemed better. They are advertised as having free WiFi which is not the case. There is no WiFi or 3G or 4G signal in the cottage. We needed to return a day early from our visit as a result. In saying that we enjoyed our stay and it was a pleasant change of scenery given everything which has happened this year.

We really enjoyed the day, such a warm and friendly family. We learned so much and loved the food served throughout the day. The guys from Grogan & Brown are fantastic, they have such passion and appreciation of meat.

Travelled with family during school midterm break. We chose th 2 bed cottage which was clean and well equipped. Oil fired central heating is provided along with an open fire. Cottages are located close to kilkenny and surrounding attractions . Our host Francis was very helpful.

I came here with a hens party and the place was so perfect for our needs. They have lovely cottages with multiple rooms on the grounds of a charming quiet farm. The animals were great to watch and observe in their daily tasks and to take in the sweet smell in the air from the late autumnal blooms was magical. Everyone on the hen enjoyed their time there and left with big smiles on their faces.

I had the pleasure of attending a one day butchery Course at Croan Cottage , on Sunday 24th March 2019. From start to finish I cannot recommend it, highly enough. Francis the owner, is a pure delight, a fantastic chef and host. John and Dec who taught us all the butchery skills , were a hoot, and are excellent at what they do. If you see this or any course, advertised at Croan Cottage, book it STRAIGHT AWAY !!!!!! It's very likely the places will sell out in minutes . It's also been voted one of the Top 10 food experiences to do IN THE WORLD. A super achievement . Well done to all in Croan Cottage, I will definitely return.
