We stayed here as a result of a personal recommendation and couldn't be happier - Sunnybank is the perfect choice for those who want more than the usual sterile hotel environment. The rooms are good sized, the beds comfortable, en-suites great (with good water pressure,) but it's more the welcome you're given, the feeling of the place and the care... More

Sunnybank B&B was the final stop for us after a 75 mile hike around the Beara Peninsula. It was a very clean and comfortable stay for us and helped us relax before our long airplane trip home to the states. The innkeeper, Brendan, is delightful. He seems to enjoy very much mingling with his guests. He knows a great deal... More

It looks like they have about 10 rooms but seem to be full a lot of the time so make reservations. There is a nice sitting room and plenty of tea! Just sit and enjoy any time. We really enjoyed the helpful hints from our host. He told us the best place to bike and eat. The town is not... More

I have brought friends to stay on Sunnybank for 9 years now. Every stay is good or better than the last. Brendan is host and he goes out of way to ensure your stay is perfect. This year he had a Jaunting Car driver come right to the B&B and take them through Killarney National Park. They loved it. We... More

The location was excellent, close to the train and bus stations and close to downtown. The hop on hop off shuttle has a pick up right across the street. Despite being in such a seemingly busy location, Sunnybank was impressively quiet. I cannot say enough nice things about the owner, Brendan, he went above and beyond to make us comfortable and... Brendan was an awesome host! So I was kind of "winging" a trip in Ireland and knew I was going to visit Killarney (birthplace of my great-grandmother) but really hadn't thought it through. So I emailed a random B&B, which was Sunnybank and he took me in. Which isn't that big of a deal, until you consider that I was... More

Having stayed at SunnyBank before, I was well acquainted with Brendan and his family. I was checking on our house in Sneem and rather than stay in a B&B there I wanted to be in the comfort of familiar surroundings. I'd also cracked my left kneecap and asked Brendan if there was a first floor room as to avoid going... More

We spent four nights in Killarney and were so happy to spend it at Sunnybank B&B. The location is just minutes walking from the downtown with shops, pubs, restaurants, and other things to do and see. Brendan was so helpful in advising us on things to do, travel distances, and helped arrange a jaunting cart for us on our last... More

Brendan was a great host who offered suggestions for our ongoing travel. The rooms were large enough, showers adequate, beds comfy. Quiet. Perfect location within walking distance to restaurants and nightlife, reasonable rates.

Booked this B&B based on the recommendation of a former colleague at work. Brendan was a very friendly, accommodating and helpful host. He gave us some good information on shortcuts in directions and recommendations for restaurants and pubs. Breakfast was good and the place is within an easy walk to downtown.
