Finally getting around to reviewing the Friars Glen. We spent a week in Scotland before flying into Cork on July 30. We headed straight for The Jameson Experience in Midleton and were glad we did as it was a very nice tour. We then arrived late afternoon/early evening at Friars Glen and were greeted by the warmest, most gracious hosts...

We stayed at Friars Glen for 2 nights during our one-week visit to Ireland. It is definitely an emerald isle. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Friars Glen since it is located in Killarney National Park, and off the main road. Even though it was rutting season and we could hear the mating calls of the male deer, it...

My wife and I stayed at Friars Glen for three nights while exploring Killarney. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is like one you would read about in a storybook. Located right next to the National Park. It is close to everything, but tucked away just far enough were you don't hear everything (except the stag). It's about a...

Had an awesome time staying here in October 2016. The breakfast was amazing the owners were very helpful! Close to everything in Killarney! Go and ride horses with Dan next door! Make sure you get out and hike around the Inn. There is a beautiful hunting lodge and waterfall close by.

I stayed in Friar's Glen for two nights this week. I was working in Killarney and a family member had told me how fantastic Friar's Glen was. He went on and on about it and I wondered if it could possibly be as good as he made it out to be - but he was right! I had a very...

We had such a wonderful stay. We were there for 2 nights and had a great time. The location was a good distance from town but that was the best part. There are some things to do within walking distance and a great pub to eat at. The room was huge and so was the bathroom. Everything was wonderfully decorated...

Too many nice things to say in a simple review. John and Mary were wonderful in every way possible. Mary helped us plan out our few days in the area and offered the best advice on our Ring of Kerry drive and visit to the Skelligs, along with with the best advice on places to see and where to eat....

We said thank you in person, wrote in the guest book and gave a thank you card but there really aren't enough ways to say thank you to John, Mary and Bridget! We knew from the second John welcomed us on our first night how great a stay we would have. It was our honeymoon and having planned a wedding,...

Friars Glen is wonderful. Its location next to Killarney Nation Park is so convenient and magical with huge stags resting in a field near by. Mary and John were very welcoming and gave us helpful guidance in choosing where to hike and eat. And the breakfast was delicious. Out of all of the places we stayed in Ireland Friars Glen...
