Myself, my husband and our Chihuahua stayed here the August Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel is old fashioned but very clean. The hotel staff are lovely. If you're a light sleeper then maybe this hotel isn't for you as the floors are wooden. We had a huge room with a double and single bed. There was a huge open wardrobe where our dog could sleep. We didn't eat at the hotel as we had the dog but there's plenty of places around with outdoor dining options. The hotel doesn't have a car park but there's two street car parks directly behind it about a 3 minute walk. Parking was tricky at times but that's probably with everyone staycationing at the weekend. Parking is free after 6 and on Sunday's and Bank Holidays.

Reception, location and Danny Mans pub are nice but the room we stayed in was awful. Room was dark and in need of a refresh, unsafe looking radiator was covered by a bed and the walls/doors were paper thin. Half of the reviews here are bad - read them, trust them.

We will be checking out of The Eviston Hotel today and I wish we could stay for longer. We are in killarney, a couple with a 17 year old daughter and a mother. This hotel is right in the centre of Killarney surrounded by shops and attractions. The Hotel is spotlessly clean. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are smallish but adequate. The food in the hotel is delicious, we ate lunch and dinner here and besides how tasty the food was, we were pleasantly surprised with the bill for such quality and in such a central tourist location. The staff from Reception to the breakfast room and the restaurant/bar are the nicest, most friendly and down to earth people we've met and in such times with Covid 19 were also professional and made us feel welcome and safe. As we have family in Kerry this is not our first visit to the Eviston Hotel and it will certainly be the chosen destination for our future trips. A huge thank you to all. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Amanda, thank you so much for your 5 star review. We are delighted you found our staff to be friendly and approachable. We are indeed very lucky with our location right on the doorstep of all Kerry has to offer. The food in our adjoining Bar and Restaurant, The Danny Man, has always been a big selling point with our guests and most certainly is very reasonably priced. We look forward to welcoming you back once again when you are down to visit your family. Again, thanks for your review. Kris.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Located right in the heart of Killarney. The staff, manager Ciaran in particular were so friendly. Always made time to have a chat or advise us on places to visit around Kerry. We originally booked in for two nights but the atmosphere was so calming we decided to extend our day and stay for 9 nights. Hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice and spacious. Parking was free which was also great! Food in the Danny Man bar located within the Eviston, access through reception or Main Street was absolutely beautiful. Cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Killarney.

Hello again Kerrie, we've missed you and Leon from around the Hotel! We were delighted every day when you extended, it's a big boost to ourselves as a Hotel that you were so happy with the stay that you didn't want to leave. Ciaran is delighted with your kind word and says to say "Up Kerry..." We look forward to welcoming you back again, be it for one night or 9! Kind Regards, Kris.

Rooms were definitely nothing like the pictures on the website. Beds were so uncomfortable. Would have been better going out and sleeping on the main road! Everytime someone flushed the toilet above us you thought the toilet was going to come down threw our roof. The guests next door had brought their dog with them which barked all night!! The next morning the owners had left the dog by itself, the poor thing had obviously sh*t its self in the room as the entire hallway stank of dog sh*te! Will definitely not be staying here again!

Dear Duffers31 Thank you for taking the time to open a new TripAdvisor account just to leave your review regarding your stay at the Eviston House Hotel. Firstly, I would like to apologize for the rooms not appearing like the pictures online, we have 111 rooms in our hotel and have the capacity to show about 10 photos on our website. Room dimensions and bed sizes are all the same, the only difference from the room you would have stayed in and the rooms that appears on our website is the décor. We also apologize that the bed you slept in was not to your liking, we have different type of mattress levels in our rooms (Soft to Medium ETC.) and we acknowledge that this is not to everyone’s taste, therefore a room change can be offered if a guest is unhappy. We are a pet friendly hotel and are very proud of it. We allow dogs to stay with us once they are housetrained, in all the times we have been hosting pets, we’ve never had a handover from housekeeping regarding a dog having had an accident. If this was to happen, the room in question would be out of order for the day as our health and safety protocols would need to be adhered to. Also, seeing as our room doors are fire regulation safety doors that do not allow smoke (or the smell of smoke) to escape it’s amazing that an entire hallway ‘stank’ of dog faeces and not you, nor any other guest bought it to a member of staff’s attention. I feel the poor doggie in question is getting a bad rap! We have no record of these complaints being filed. Had we known we would have tried to rectify your issues. We are confident had we been made aware in time of your dissatisfaction; we would have been able to ensure your concerns were addressed and you in turn would have enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately, we were not afforded this opportunity.
