Super nice hotel, want to say no jeans and colored shirt at the restaurant. Room was nice as expected. They will mail post cards for free for you which is nice since we paid 2 euro each back to the states. The breakfasts were good. Get the porridge. It comes with brown suger honey and a shot of Jamison. Wife loved the French toast. The hotel down the road about 4 min walk has a nightly Irish show that is 30eros and was worth it.
Look no further for your accommodation in Killarney. This beautiful hotel is filled with old world charm and modern day amenities. It is perfectly located making it effortless to walk anywhere in this charming town. The staff are all wonderful. They are eager to assist to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The chief concierge, PC, is knowledgeable, helpful, sincere, funny and professional. He helped us to create the perfect itinerary for our stay with excellent recommendations for activities and dining alike. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Rooms were spacious with a complimentary mini bar containing snacks. The beds were very comfortable - which we appreciated after our long days on foot. We traveled with our 3 teens who loved this hotel as much as we did. This hotel Is the perfect spot in a Killarney. We will be back!…
Stayed here for a short two night stay weekend break with my husband. First impressions matter and unfortunately ours were a slight letdown. We were greeted at the door by a friendly, smiling young man who welcomed us in and offered help with our bags - great start! Sadly not so great at check-in, at the reception desk were two ladies, one who was smiling and made friendly small talk, however we were assisted by a lady that appeared discomfited by the fact that we were a same sex couple. She made a point of mentioning that the room "had one bed, not twin beds" when confirming the room we had booked. I don't believe this would have been mentioned to a heterosexual couple and I'm not sure why this point had to clarified to us. She proceeded to show us around the lobby and explained breakfast times etc., and then brought us to our room in a professional but curt manner. This was in stark contrast to the warm, friendly smiling greetings we received from all the other staff we encountered during our short stay. This is 2022, it is a bit dissappointing that we couldn't be shown the same courtesy, warmth and attention that we noticed the same lady give to other guests during our stay. Apart from that less than ideal interaction with one staff member the hotel was very nice. Our room was cosy and welcoming with comfortable but not too stuffy decor and was spotlessly clean, as was our bathroom and the hotel in general. We could hear other guests in their rooms and the corridors a bit more that we would have liked, but it was facing a very well maintained garden so had a nice view and no external noise. We had breakfast both mornings in a beautiful dining/bar area, staff were friendly, attentive and efficient - full table service and no buffet. The location is great for exploring Killarney town and the National Park, no need to bring the car. The fire alarm did go off at 2am on our second night and we later learnt that there was a small fire in the laundry room that was dealt with quickly - good to the see that the alarms and fire doors worked as they should!…
We were upgraded to the Kenmare Suite upon arrival. It was huge. My husband and I didn't even have to share the bathroom! The staff was phenomenal, the setting was beautiful, and everything was perfect. I even appreciated the fact that they were willing to do minimal contact cleaning. They've thought of everything. They also left a card when our "do not disturb" sign was on the door stating that they were honoring our request. I wish all hotels would do that!
Loved the impeccable service at The Killarney Park. We enjoyed the hotel spa, dinner and drinks. They even stayed late when we came back from town 1 night for a night cap. Excellent location to Killarney, Murphys is a short walk as well as live entertainment. 15 minute ride to the Gap of Dunloe and the Killarney National Park is minutes away. The hotel staff exceeded expectations and surely you will not be disappointed.
Well done the Park hotel Killarney. Warm friendly reception when we arrived at the door excellent interaction with the reception staff who invited us to sit in the lounge while other staff members took our food order atmosphere so relaxing. highly recommended to anyone who enjoys good food and friendly atmosphere 5 star recommendation.
What a beautiful place! Our room was spectacular . The staff was attentive to every detail. Marcus and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay here unbelievable! Dinner was delicious and breakfast never disappointed us! We highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay in beautiful Killarney !
Drove in no space to park, along came a young gent who enquired could he help and he offered to park for us. He looked far too young but smiled and said his colleague would do it for us. Dined in the garden bar, great food and friendly staff. We actually sat in the garden and sipped away on some Prosecco while waiting. The roast was exceptional and the service matched it. Shane was very friendly. Our car keys were dropped back to us by the young lad and he also said they would bring it to the door when we finished. I didn’t put them to task but it was great to see such great service being offered. Everyone smiled here, costs nothing but means an awful lot to customers. Sheila Cassidy
The Killarney Park hotel great spot. Stayed for 4 nights. Its a family run hotel and definitely could feel that! Very warm welcoming staff. Upon arrival doorman offering to park our car, Brought our luggage to our room and had a bottle of champagne chilling to toast our anniversary :-) Peregrine restaurant - The food in the bar was really great service wonderful ! Gets pretty crowded at night nice vibe. Location: walking distance to everything in town. Concierge service - top notch they arranged a private driver for us to see the Ring of Kerry. Highlight of our trip. A little on the pricey side but well worth it not to be crammed on a bus with 40 other people. Driver stoped at so many non touristy places was amazing. Best lunch in a quite little village pub Negative: Breakfast - limited options very bland. We ended up getting room service each morning instead. Gym- extremely small and hardly any equipment. Would not call it a gym We stayed in a junior suite - its a bit dated. Room safe is about 30 years old very hard to use. At check out our bill had a few extra charges that were not ours that had to be removed. Very challenging getting the charges removed with receptionist she seemed very new.…
The Killarney Park hotel could not have been more fabulous- from the doorman offering to park our car and male sure we had water to the front desk staff who always smiled to the maids who kept the rooms sparkling to the delightful servers at breakfast in the gorgeous Peregrine restaurant for whom no special request ever posed a problem- the Killarney Park was a benchmark experience. As a family with 12 and 14 year old boys- it is always good to have a swimming pool. The lack of “adult” hours and no need for reservations made a big difference. There were never more than 6 people ever in the pool at any time. We will definitely be back and can’t recommend the hotel highly enough.
