We have just returned from an 8 week trip around UK & Ireland using 41 different B&Bs and found Carranross House in Killarney a very nice place to stay. It is located close to good shops and not far from centre of town with off street parking in the front. Upon our arrival we received a warm welcome from Mary... More

Upon arrival we were greeted with effusive hospitality from Mary, who was always willing to help us with whatever queries and needs we had. The room was spacious and exceedingly comfortable, with lots of tea (much needed!). Bathroom perfectly fine for our needs. The breakfast was a nice mix of self serve and there were good options for cooked breakfast,... More

My fiance and I stayed here in June 2016. We were overwhelmed by Mary's hospitality. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quaint. The location of the B&B is a stone's throw away from the city of Killarney, bustling with restaurants, shops, and tourist information for those wanting to see the Ring of Kerry, Dingle peninsula, etc. We also found the... My family and I stayed here in December 2015 as part of our Paddywagon Tour. It was in a good location with just a short walk to the city centre. The rooms were a generous size, as was the bathroom which included a bath. WiFi was limited and TV reception was poor. The cooked breakfast was generous and staff were... More

We stayed 2 nights here for our Anniversary Trip to Ireland. I have to say I almost wrote a review before I stayed, on how amazing Mary was.. She went above and beyond for me on every email before we arrived. She booked our dinner reservations and answered all my questions promptly! When we finally arrived, I wasn't the least... More

We are here for our last of five nights at Carranross. I have to give it five stars because of the charming owner, Mary O'Sullivan. She has gone above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Our room is large, comfortable and bright with a king bed and updated bathroom. The breakfast is very good, try the pancakes-they are different... More

We have just stayed one night in this lovely B&B. It is in a good location, just 10min walk from the centre of town - this is an advantage as the town can get quite busy so the B&B is in a quite area (with easy parking) and an added bonus is the nearby shops for stocking up for picnics... More

Mary was a great host like most of the other hosts we have experienced by going the extra providing us with local advice. The room was very spacious and fresh. The bathroom was also modern The internet was exceptionally fast, which was great. We paid €80 for the night which was much less then what other B&Bs were asking Would... More

This is a lovely house within a 15 min. walk to the city center. The rooms are big and bright and airy with comfortable beds. Mary makes a wonderful breakfast, don't miss her scones or Guinness brown bread. We stayed for 5 nights and we're sorry to go.

Was I in the same place as the other reviewers? Stayed here a while ago, but it is upon staying in other accomodation in the area that i have been propelled to write this review. Found the hostess Mary unfriendly and unwelcoming. On our first introduction we were shown straight to the rooms with an abrupt 'Hello'- We had traveled... More
