I recently visited The House in Galway and must admit that initial impressions were very positive. I enjoy boutique hotels and The House definitely had a "cool" boutique feel. A comfy lobby bar, nice restaurant and hip tunes add to the ambience. (Sigh) however. This may seem like a small issue but most tripadvisor readers will recognize it as significant... More

Staid B&B, this is not. As soon as you walk in to House Hotel, it's a feast of colors, which brightens the gray outside. We enjoyed our stay of two nights here. As soon as we got in, the staff helped us navigate around town and then looked up buses to Tuam, where my wife's family came from originally. Our... More

I have been to several different events at this venue and each time that something has gone wrong I have put it down to bad luck and offered to give it another chance. However, I will not be giving this establishment another chance because I have had one too many negative experiences here now. The staff including management leave a... More

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As you can understand it is difficult for us to address the matters in your review as your complaints seem to deal with two separate occasions. Customer service is key here in The House and something we often get complimented on, therefore I am disappointed that on this... More

Stayed one night in delux double. We were given a room with two small windows overlooking nothing really and asked if they had any of the balcony rooms instead. They were very friendly and moved us straight away. This was a much more airier room. A lovely young lady asked us if we wanted any extra towels, pillows and water... More

Charming, boutique hotel in great location. Funky, bright decor. Breakfast was good. Did not get a chance to get drinks from the bar. Was surprised to find mildew/mold growing on the shower in several spots. Friends room had the same problem but worse and their whole room smelled "musty". Other than that, rooms were clean-ish and comfortable. We stayed in... More

My husband recently stayed in this hotel with an overnight package of B and B, restaurant meal and cocktails. Lovely quirky clean and comfortable hotel.very pleasant staff and in a central location. Our meal in the restaurant was lovely as were the cocktails. Couldn't fault this hotel and will definitely return.

Comfortable hotel in a good location - near Spanish Arch and Shop Street. We were here for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Parking is a bit of a walk, but not unlike what we've experienced in other large cities.

Stayed mid week in the House Hotel. Location is very central and near Spanish Arch. Check-in was quick and friendly. Room was average size and basic enough. Bed was comfortable. However there was a slight smell of sick from the corner of the room which was not nice. Had a dinner in the restaurant which was nice. Breakfast the following... More

This is the 4th time I've stayed at this hotel. I liked it because of its location and style. On this trip, I travelled with 6 other friends and on my recommendation, we stayed for two nights for a total of 8 room nights. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this hotel. One of the things that I require in... More
