We kinda stumbled on this lil gem by chance. We were on a day to day booking trip and needed a place in Galway. The moment we met Ann it just felt right. Humour and spontaneous. And the room was perfect. Clean and spacious. And finally a decent size en suite bathroom with a shower that delivers a decent water... More

I can't say enough about how wonderful Ann was to work with or how great our stay at Griffin Lodge was. It was a beautiful house, we parked right out front, breakfast was delicious, and it is a short, lovely walk to the harbor and pedestrian shopping center.

Excellent location, a short walk to the center of town. Very clean and comfortable. Most striking: Ann couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, she really went the extra mile in making sure our plans worked out.

This B and B was absolutely amazing. It is in a quiet location, but is still a short walk to the fun parts of Galway. The rooms are minimal, but comfortable and cozy. Wifi was a little dodgy in our room, but it wasn't a huge problem. Ann is a wonderful host, and is friendly, charming, and bends over backwards... More

This B&B is in an EXCELLENT location in Galway! Less than 5 minutes to walk down to the city center, which is great if you are out very late. We were also able to park our car right in front of the building which was really helpful. Ann is my girl - loved her. I want to come back. Our... More

This is an excellent B&B to stop at while in Galway. It is in a great location within walking to distance to anything you could need. Ann was awesome and very welcoming! We had a bit of a car troubles and she suggested a local place for us to go to which was very helpful.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Ann is very helpful and accommodating, even holding our bags while we spent one night away on Inishmore. Rooms are on the smaller side and the walls can be a bit thin, but they are clean and comfortable. Located very close to downtown, the university, and Salthill; we were able to easily walk... More

My son and I went to Galway with the goal of doing some research on family ancestry. The Griffin Lodge was a great location for us....within walking distance of the train station and the energy of the city center. Our hosts Ann and Marie were warm and welcoming and provided perhaps the best Irish breakfast of our trip. I shared... More

I was greeted by the friendliest host you could imagine (who, incidentally, cooks an excellent fry up breakfast) who helped me park the car and showed me to our room. Ours faced onto Fr. Griffin Place but I think regardless of where your room is here it will be quiet. The room itself was quite compact but good enough wardrobe... More

This was my second visit to Galway and Griffin Lodge. It is ideal for a trip to Galway, situated 5 minutes away from the centre of town. We booked late so probably had the worst room in the hotel, the middle attic room. Although it was a lovely room, it's not really ensuite as the bathroom is on the corridor.... More
