Very peaceful, beautiful, luxurious. Friendly staff, good food, comfortable. Location in walking distance of train station. Spa services available. Very close to Galway city center. Very clean and breakfast delicious. The outside does not look luxurious but inside is very classy.

Beautiful hotel with very comfortable lounge areas, ideal for a few drinks before heading into Galway centre which can be easily walked in around 20 mins. Bedrooms are lovely although if you want a few you will need to book specifically a Lough View Room. Although small details missing like tissues an body lotion. We had dinner in the hotel which was really nice if a bit expensive but as always your paying for the surroundings an the service. Both of which were excellent. Tip. Make sure you put G Hotel & Spa into your Sat nav/google maps. Will definitely return.

Easy to book with over the phone, parking is perfect, nice and relaxed at check in. Room I was assigned had an issue, once I reported I was swiftly moved to a different room with no fuss whatsoever, had dinner in the restaurant the food was superb from the easy of ordering to the food presentation it could not have been better. The room I stayed in was a "lake view room" looking across to a bus stop, car park and commercial buildings. The road outside was heavy with traffic and when you're not used to hearing traffic from your own bed, it can be unsettling. The water from the shower leaked out onto the bathroom floor, which at the price paid for an overnight stay shouldn't happen. Breakfast was perfect with a nice menu and wonderful service. Check out was like check in, relaxed and friendly.

Went in to have something to eat as I was at the back of the Hotel I hadn't been for some time - it has had a make over on the open areas The 1st room my favourite had a group of 4 and the other tables all empty but the lady guarding the area said it was all booked out. Went to bar and I got a table again only 4 there but abit of a decision as to letting me sit!!!! I ordered the pancakes with Peanut Butter, Banana & Smoked Bacon Crumb. 3 pancakes arrived with a spoon of peanut butter, 5 slices of banana and a back rasher burnt - to say it looked sad is putting it mildly... I didn't complain as I knew it would be a waste of time - I never feel customer satisfaction is high on priorities

Excellent stay at the G. Everything was perfect from a friendly efficient check in with a lovely glass of complimentary prosecco, beautiful rooms with super comfortable beds and fab breakfast. Couldn't fault our stay. All staff that we met were so helpful and pleasant. Really enjoyable visit, only wish we could stay for longer, next time!

Stayed in room 220 (superior room) recently with my girlfriend and 10 month old son. Room was scruffy and needs a serious lick of paint. Small details like tiny tv, old fashioned remote and the grout on tiles in bathroom and silicone all peeling above bath. Also would have expected a walk in shower for a supposed high end hotel. Staff were all pleasant and the breakfast was decent. But for €25 pp if not included on your room rate, that's extortion. My girlfriend used the thermal suite for an additional €15pp, the showers in changing room were broken, handles were loose and falling off. Not good enough really. Overall from our experience I would not return nor recommend to friends or family. We did not use the restaurant or cocktail bar so no comment.

Just back from our first stay in the G Hotel and the first time to Galway in years. It was just magical. Can’t even imagine what it will be like at Christmas when the Christmas decorations are up and when the Christmas market is on. The hotel itself is just amazing, the room and bathroom are so spacious, the beds and pillows are just the most comfortable we have ever experienced in all our travels, the spa was so relaxing and the food delicious. Who ever is in charge of hiring the staff is skilled at what they do and the staff there are obviously happy working there. Because this came through in all our encounters from the moment we entered to the moment we left this morning. Jane at reception greeted us and could not have been more welcoming, Siobhain and all the staff in the spa could not have been more approachable. All the staff in the restaurants and bar were just great, Rona from Donegal to mention just one. It didn’t matter who you were you were treated with curtesy, respect, warmth and professionalism. Some 4 star and 5 star hotels have notions and should take a leaf out of the G Hotels book of customer service. We highly recommend the G Hotel and can’t wait to go back.

Fabulous hotel, very friendly polite staff. On arrival we were upgraded to a bigger room which was great. Very clean spacious room the pillows are as if your sleeping on a cloud so soft and comfortable, everything we needed at our finger tips, were given drinks for the road home and all will definitely be back to stay in this fab hotel again.

The room was excellent with the bed and pillows the comfiest I have ever been in. Staff were incredibly helpful and lovely even when passing in the halls. The breakfast was great and location was perfect, away from the chaos of the city centre but close enough to walk to!

We went for dinner in the g. we have been there many times before and always had a good experience. There is something special about the g. The staff are top class and the ambience is spot on. The man on the piano is excellent. It set us up for another lovely experience. We shared the wings to start. Really lovey and the bbq sauce was delicious. I had the monkfish for main and the portion size is small but the food was delicious. If you want a big carvery meal the g will not be for you! We shared a desert and it was delicious. I couldn’t fault our dinner, the staff or anything really. Looking forward already to our next visit.
