Owners, Amy and Paul, could not be nicer and our room was immaculately clean and comfortable. Great shower in good in roomy bathroom. Breakfasts were delish w large portions that kept us full well into the afternoon. Great location for in town sites and day trips to Aran Islands and Connemara area. We LOVED our stay at this warm and welcoming B&B! Thank you Paul and Amy!!

We stayed at Petra House only one night but wish we would have had another! The B&B is in a wonderful location for walking into town and for taking a walk or run in the morning. The breakfast was delicious and the house was immaculate! I also had to make a change to our initial reservation a few days before our scheduled arrival and Paul was very accommodating.

We spent two nights at Petra House during our visit to Galway and had a great stay! Paul and Amy greeted us on our arrival, and Paul helped us get our bags to our room, spacious and impeccably clean. Breakfast was truly a treat with an amazing fruit course and lovely main courses — full Irish, smoked Salmon, and pancake. We spent most of our days touring and taking in the races in Galway, but stopped back in the afternoon for tea and cake on the patio. Delicious, but even better was the chance to get to know Paul and Amy. What a sweet couple! Lovely accommodations, but even lovelier people!

Our trip to Ireland included one night in Galway and we chose to spend it at Petra House. We couldn't have made a better choice! Paul and Amy welcomed our early arrival, allowing us to get online to take a COVID test required to return to the USA. Our room was very comfortable and included the conveniences that Americans want as well as elegant Irish charm. Breakfast was amazing and Amy even shared recipes with my wife, who loves to bake. We only regret that we didn't schedule more time in Galway and at Petra House.

My husband and I absolutely LOVED our stay at the Petra House. Paul and Amy truly went above and beyond for us. The breakfasts were incredible - and I was so touched that Amy made homemade gluten free bread for me. Everything was delicious and Paul also helped me figure out a plan for getting transportation to Rossaveal for the ferry to the Aran Islands (I had neglected to book transportation and realized the night before). The room was great and everything was very clean. Paul and Amy are truly some of the nicest people we've ever met and we're eager to come back to Galway and stay at the Petra House!
