We travelled as a couple to enjoy a four day stay in Galway city. We are always just a little bit anxious when visiting a hotel we haven't been to before but when we got to our room on the third floor we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel obviously goes the extra mile to provide comfort and security. We... More

This is a budget hotel on Eyre Square within walking distance of all Galway has to offer. The rooms are clean but dated - the ones at the back of the hotel are dark with a small window at the end of the room. The bathrooms are tired, but still clean. There is only one lift and the corridors are... More

I stay in Galway a lot but hadn't picked the Imperial before. (Might have had some assumptions about quality since it's a 3-star hotel and I - wrongly - associated it with being a bit dated.) It's my new favourite place to stay in Galway. Service is brilliant. You know a place is well run when a man (who I... More

Stayed here for one night in July. Pro's: very central hotel, in great location in eyre square within walking distance to the city centre, room was spacious and comfortable bed, good sized bathroom with bath and shower and lots of toiletries. Cons: breakfast very poor, just continental with little choice, arrived down an hour before it finished and most of... More

Hotel has a wonderful located right on the square and steps away from the pedestrian streets with street performers, pubs etc. Front desk very nice and helpful. Our room was very large but a bit noisy when the pubs closed. Hotel was large seemed like a few buildings were combined. At first it was confusing finding our room. Thoroughly enjoyed... More

Great location. The breakfast is quite nice too. Hotel seems very dated though.. Rooms could do with a bit of an update. Staff were nice and had no major problems. Had to go really far for the carpark

The Imperial Hotel is right on Eyre Square, close to train and bus stations, the shuttle to Rossaveal, and a fantastic shopping area. The included breakfast is a continental breakfast, but it offers a variety of food: cheese, meat, porridge, eggs, cereal, yogurt, bread. It was plenty for everyone in our family. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but on... More

A nice hotel nestled slap bang in the city next to eyre square. Check in was quick and friendly. The rooms are standard and of good quality. All necessities covered., and in this day and age rooms with their own safes are a must! Breakfast is continental style only. If you're looking for a full Irish, you'll have to go... More
