For those not familiar with Galway, it is a hugely popular destination all year around, accommodation is always in short supply, and tends to be a pricey as a result. We stayed in Imperial over a weekend in August. The room we had was on the third floor and looked directly onto Eyre square, I can't speak for the other... More

Imperial hotel is in a great location for discovering Galway city centre. Very close to shopping areas, pedestrian street, many restaurants and pubs and coffee houses. Rooms are good size and beds comfy!

Imperial Hotel Galway is located at downtown area, just 5-7 mins walk from coach terminal and easy to find it. Front desk staff is nice and efficient to process check-in procedure. Guest room is a non-traditional arrangement, size is big , separate living and sleeping area with bathroom. Decoration is simple and basic, but clean. Breakfast also provide basic food,... More

Lovely room,.very spacious. Food is fab, staff are friendly. Close to everything. Only 5 mins walk from the train station. The room was hot but there is air conditioning which is great. Bathroom is really nice, no shower caps though. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel needs an update, wall paper hanging from walls in corridors and furniture in room very worn. Hotel room itself was clean although bin liner in bathroom was not changed when we arrived, made me go check rest of room to be sure nothing else was missed.light bulb in room was gone on overhead lamp also. Receptionist we dealt with... More

Best value hotel in Galway. Fab staff, who always recognize regular customers. Clean, spacious rooms with good showers, great beds and all amenities you would expect (and some you would not like A/C and room safes). Location on Eyre Square is second to none. But what impresses me most is how they don't take any opportunity (like the Galway Races)... More

Great location just off Eyre Square. Clean and tidy room. Bathroom was grand but the shower wasn't fantastic. We only stayed one night and it was perfect for our short stay as it was convenient to restaurants, bars and shopping.
