Of all the B&B's we stayed at in Ireland, this was by far the best. Are there "fancier" B&B's? Sure. But if you want the ultimate B&B experience, Roncalli House is it. Carmel is just the most lovely person you will meet in Ireland. The rooms were very nice, coffee and tea in your room for the morning, the bathroom... More

Lovely host. Good breakfast. Parking in front or on street, no problem. Wifi good. The house could use a little maintenance. But as a handyman, I see those kinds of details. Lots of B&B in the area. I would try another place again, but we would stay there again if needed.

Best hostess, best location and views, cleanest rooms, warmest greeting, great breakfast, and best all around B&B experience. I've been staying with Carmel on my trips into Galway for 14 years. I've stayed in other B&B's all over Ireland, but few, if any, come up the high standards at Roncalli House. This is, for me, the very best B&B in... More

A basic B&B with everything you would need. One of the better bathrooms we encountered in our B&B journey. Great breakfast cooked to order - with choices. Location was a 10 minute walk to the Latin Quarter, and the tour buses would pick you up right outside if you wanted to go to Connemara.

Loved the location close to bay and 10 to 15 minute walk to town. Beautiful house, great hostess. Recommend bus tour of Connemara that we loved. Room was clean and comfortable nice bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Happy I stayed here, would definitely stay again.

The B&B is perfect, equipped of everything; the rooms are very comfortable, most of them with a fantastic view of the bay of Galway. It is located 10 minutes walking to the center of the town and it is valuable. It is the second time we have been and it will not the last for sure.

She was very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious! The rooms are a little tight, but that is pretty standard in Ireland. It's about a 15 minute walk from city centre but it's a nice walk. Very reasonable price and this b&b came recommended by a woman in the tourist office.

Carmel hosted Chelsea Clinton when she was 16 years old, and I'm sure that she was every bit as kind and fun with us as she was with Chelsea. Second stay here, every bit as delightful the second time. Near the water, center of city, and convenient for sightseeing. Lovely breakfast. Have met such interesting and nice guests, too. Carmel... After mixed bnb situations the 2 nights prior, what a relief to pull up to a sharp looking home adjacent to the water in a quiet sidestreet. Owner Carmel, the sweetest lady you're going to meet in a nation of many, was picking out farm fresh eggs and produce from her delivery service. Immediately we knew that we were in for a... More

Clean. Good location. Convenient to the water and to town, just a few minutes walk. Carmel immediately made us feel at home and was a real sweetheart - we left her flowers as a post-Valentine's gift. On site parking.
