Hotel has a fabulous location right in front of the prom, walking distance to Salthill. Family room was spacious, if a little dated, but was clean. Attended a wedding, food was good, service was good. Breakfast served to 11 which was a bonus. Overall a nice hotel with plenty nearby to entertain the family.

Busy place, but great service. Our room had a great view of Galway Bay and was lovely and warm, (maybe a little too warm sometimes) but the bed was very comfortable and the room/bathroom was clean and serviced daily during our stay. Dinned in the bar on our first day and the food was great, better than we expected for...

In the past few years the Galway Bay hotel has gone down a lot in many respects. The food is very average and pricey and the staff are just alright. I have never actually stayed in the hotel but have been there many many times at various functions and for lunch and dinners. There is a strange unpleasant smell in...

I was in the Galway Bay Hotel for a family breakfast over the festive season. Despite the fact that we hadn't booked, we were accommodated and seated very promptly by a gentleman called Karl. We stayed 4 nights over Christmas at the hotel. Amazed at how nice the staff was, and the cleanliness of the hotel. The Christmas dinner was truly amazing (and I understand they served 250 dinners that night). I can't recommend this place highly enough.
