Stairs and more stairs and tight turns were taxing for us. Room is tight which was not a problem--only sleeping in the room--out and about rest of time. Amenities are top notch, staff was wonderful! Quality breakfast. Location is the biggest plus. Everything you want or need within blocks of this hotel. And it is crowded. And some nights noisy... More

I was hesitant about the noise reviews and I know how Shop Street can be on the weekends, but I fully planned on being out during my stay in Galway and I know the latest bars close at 2 (most close at midnight). 2:30 is the latest you'll hear anything in the streets and we had no problems! This is... More

One of the staff was amazingly helpful, another one was comatose! The rooms are super small and noisy, well, the ones above pubs, which is pretty much every room. The breakfast is like having bubble and squeak at your stepmother's house: two pieces of this, one piece of that,... You feel guilty taking any of it thinking, "Is this the... More

This felt more like a hostel than anything else. The room had a full bed, but there wasn't even enough room around the bed to put our luggage or even walk. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was loud due to the clubs and bars downstairs. The water in the shower was barely warm and the bathroom could barely... More

Stayed one Saturday night, got B&B for 2 for €120, which isn't bad for Galway city center on a Saturday in the summer. If you're familiar with Galway, it's literally a couple of doors away from Neachtains so you're in the middle of all the bars and restaurants. And right next to the best pizza in Galway, Pizza and Pasta... More

We stayed at this hotel for just one night. The staff were lovely! The hotel is very very small. Not many rooms and a small breakfast room. We were in room "merlin" which was on the top floor. It is 3 levels up and there is no lift, so be prepared to carry your bags up lots of stairs. The... More

I am here at the moment and I'm very disappointed with this hotel. The receptionist was rather disinterested when we arrived. The room is actually ok if not very tiny. The windows are absolutely filthy to a point that you can't even see if the sun is out or not. Went down for breakfast this morning to find mouldy white... More

We had a great experience during our one night stay at the end of April 2016. We were warmly welcomed and showed to the room. The room is indeed very small. So is the bathroom. But - most important for us - everything appears to be new, in a good condition and clean. The bed was very comfortable. What proofed... More

I bought a groupon for this hotel lately and hadn't stayed there before. While its marketed as a boutique hotel, I would more call it a boutique guesthouse. Its location is fantastic as its slap bang in the middle of everything . However, if you don't like noise it might not be for you as its right next door to... More
