These apartments are desperately in need of refurbishment - burnt kitchen drawers, bodged shower screen repairs, toilet roll holders falling off, coat hangers falling off - there is a general air of neglect. We had no welcome pack and no guide to the apartment. We had to telephone for help on how to heat the water. The location is very good and apartments spacious but totally devoid of character. No pictures on the walls etc - although there clearly has been as marks visible on the bare walls. There is free parking but the car park is disgusting- overflowing bins and rat traps with missing lids. We moved on to an apartment in another part of Ireland after this - significantly better. Equally spacious but welcoming and with a clean car park. Also 100’s of Euro cheaper.
This is the best accommodation I have had whilst travelling. Fantastic cleanliness and very well equipped. The location is great with beautiful view across the bay. The outside of the building doesn’t do it to much justice but step inside the apartment and it’s a whole new world . Everything has been well thought out including having dishwasher tablets to get u started. Bathrooms very clean and have some great shower creams provided. The beds are large and very comfy. Can’t thank these people enough for a wonderful experience we had.
1) no hot water in the evenings 2) welcome pack 2 rolls each bathroom for 2 bed apartment( you stay longer you buy your own) 1 small plastic bag, 2 pods for dishwasher, one dishwasher liquid, no foil, no cling film. No cleaning stuff. That’s it! 3) 10.30 am - you get a knock at the door to remind you to leave at 11am 4) noise from outside front and rear. 5) Thin walls 6) it’s clean 7) view good 8) limited parking space on premise 9) you can park outside on public parking
I spent three very pleasant nights at the Galway Bay Sea View Apartments. As this was my first time staying in a "holiday" apartment, I wasn't sure what to expect so was pleasantly surprised. The apartment was very basic but quite clean and comfortable with a small kitchen, living room, bedroom, bath and, what I thought was a big plus, a washer/dryer. Also, there was a little balcony overlooking the Salthill Promenade which was a nice place to relax after having spent several days sight seeing around the country. The location is also quite good. It is within easy walking distance to restaurants and convenience stores. I will definitely stay here again.
The place is in a great location and not very far from the square where there's plenty of restaurants, pubs, nightclubs etc. HOWEVER, there was VERY LIMITED hot water!! As a family, across 3 nights we had a total of 3 showers - repeated phone calls and no help at all other than wait an hour or two for the hot water to work!!! Absolutely appalling. I didn't manage to get a hot shower at all because by the time one of us had taken a shower the hot water was used up :( Meaning we'd have to wait again and that would just spoil our holiday. The owner uses a 'booster' which is evidently to reduce his water bills therefore I wouldn't stay again...
Only ever enough hot water for one person to shower and there were four of us! Repeated calls to the manager who talked us thro the booster button and still it didnt work. We are still waiting for maintenance! If you want to have a grungy holiday, this is the place for you. A real pity because its in a beautiful location but totally spoilt by not being able to have a hot shower.
We stayed here up until today..I Will start with good things. The place was impeccable your cleaners are a credit to you. The location is excellent some great eating places nearby we had a takeaway lunch in the creamery downstairs and It was fab. The bed was very comfortable. Now to the bad and I can't say I would.or wouldn't go back. The windows need resealed I know salt hill is exposed but not only was it baltic and we had to keep heating on nearly the whole time but the sound of the wind and the hen party in the room below the bedroom.window wasn't as bad but still not great either. The 2nd bedroom was so cold because it joins onto outdoor corridor and the noise booming up the corridor. The whole point of booking a two bedroom apartment was so the toddler could sleep in his own room.and we all ended up have 3 sleepless nights due to being cold and the constant wind. It's a real pity because its a great apartment I just Don't know if I would stay again maybe in a less windy season but then u would hear tourists. Room 22 without a doubt needs repaired at the windows…
Stayed Here last week as part of Group booking for The All Ireland Mixed Hockey Intervarsity in Galway! From the moment you open the door to your apartment you know your in a Great Place. Two Bedrooms in each apartment along with self catering kitchen and washing facilities. Two of our apartments included a Penthouse balcony and let me tell you I could get use to waking up to that view of Salthill everyday. My Group absolutely loved the stay and can't wait for our next tournament in Galway! There's only one place we're staying! I'd like to also send a Huge thanks to Both Karina and Oisin who were great help in arranging the accommodation for us and always at the end of the phone if I had any queries!
The apartments are spotlessly clean, very comfortable and have everything you might need. Excellent location with parking. Easy check in and check out. Only issue being check in is late 4pm and check out is very early at 10.30. This is the only reason I would not stay here again.
Amazing What a stunning place to stay. The views over the bay are delightful, especially watching the sunrise. The apartment very clean, modern and accommodating with everything you might need. We stayed for a week but could easily have stayed much longer. Located a short journey (10mins by bus or 30min walk) fro Galway centre. The longer walk along the coast into Galway is beautiful. Highly recommend.
