Sadly bring the news that the owner of Lissadell is selling up later this year. Be very careful if you have made a recent booking as she has had a nightmare trying to cancel a website that is still allowing people to make unconfirmed bookings, and the emails are not going through to her. Luckily I called 2 days before...

This was rather difficult to find due to the street signage but we finally made it. Hostess very, very nice. Room adequate. Great location for hopping the train to Dublin (which our hostess gave us a lift to the train station, very nice gesture). Perfect for day trips to Powerscourt Gardens and Wicklow Mountains. Close to the ferry for our...

We felt like we were staying with friends here. Charmayne is a terrific hostess, and a mini Tourist Info wrapped into a very friendly package. The B&B is well constructed and clean. It's very quiet and good for sleeping. The breakfasts were amazing! You really get your money's worth here. The location is away from the noise of Dublin, but...

This is a great place to stay in Dublin. It was spotlessly clean and quiet. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous! Great pancakes and plenty of fresh fruit. Charmaine was the best! She was chatty and helpful. I felt like she was an old friend. The location is wonderful. The house is about a mile from...

As others have said this is an ideal base for visitng Dublin - we had driven up from Kerry with bikes on the car, and we were able to leave it here and take the DART into Dublin for a day. Charmaine also recommended walking into Dalkey for an evening meal which we did on two nights - lots of...

We stayed at Lissadell for three nights during a family vacation to Ireland in July 2014. I have never stayed at a guest house that was better overall than this one. The rooms are spacious, modern, and exceptionally clean. The location is in a quiet neighborhood that is within easy reach of Dublin via the nearby DART station. But Charmaine,...

We stayed for 3 days in June 2015; The owner, Charmaine, is very accommodating, and went out of her way to assist us. (She arranged booster seats and plastic cups for our kids at breakfast and was very patient with them.) The rooms were clean, bright and airy and the bathroom was shiny, water hot! Breakfast was very good (we...

We had gone to Ireland to visit some of my husband's family and also to re-visit his childhood memories. This guest house was great -position, comfort, food, rooms, and of course hostess - perfect. Our room was lovely and the breakfasts amazing. We stayed four nights and would certainly return if and when we go back.

We wanted somewhere that would allow us to explore Dublin for a couple of days without staying in the city. Lissadell fitted the bill very well, It is well run, clean and comfortable. Other reviewers have noted its location makes it convenient for the DART. We have visited a number of places this year and stayed in range of accommodation,...
