After cycling 200 mikes down the coast from cork to Dublin I've never been more relieved to see my hotel in my life! & even more fortunate that it was as beautiful as it was! Gorgeous space, amazing views & we were even lucky enough to get enough sunshine to sit in the garden! Highly recommend!

Went here for lunch with wife & two friends. They liked it for the view of the water. We ordered the anti pasta board for 4 looking for a light lunch. It was plentiful with a good variety of meats, cheeses, olives, etc. Fresh and tasty. Our server, Wilf, was helpful and friendly. We hope to return on our next... More

Once we'd actually found the hotel, we loved its sea front location. The room was ok, a little dated with a feint smell of cigarettes but was clean and had decent facilities. When we stayed there was a ukulele jam in front of the hotel which made for a great atmosphere, but early nighters may have suffered a bit of... More

We stayed at the Kingston while we were at a wedding in Dublin, it was a lovely hotel, very clean and near the town if you cut through the grounds of Royal Marine Hotel . The food was really good and will stay here again. I would recommend booking a sea view as this made a big difference.

Well what can I say about this gem of a hotel. I'm 8yrs travelling to Dublin to see specialists. Upon booking I emailed the hotel with 1 or 2 requests to which I got a reply straight back saying it wouldn't be a problem and indeed it wasn't... From the moment we checked in up until we checked out....there was... More

Growing up in Dublin, Dun Laoghaire has always held a special place in our hearts, so I had to arrange my sister's hen party here at the heart of Dun Laoghaire in the Haddington!I can only say that the service was superb from the planning process, to the morning after our party! Special thanks to Niamh from events and Adrian... More

Have been here quite a number of times, as was one of my fav spots, food is lovely, pizzas too, staff and service is friendly but it's pointless asking them to maybe bring Parma cheese or pepper or anything like that, as it dosent arrive, wasn't asking a fourth time. Fab location with the best Dunlaoighaire coastal sea views.

Wonderful little hotel. The staff, especially front desk was very helpful and friendly. A little surprise left in the room for my partners birthday, nice touch of a card and cupcake with candle. Location is superb and the view out front is amazing. Loved the little beer garden overlooking the harbour and pier. Pizza was delicious. Staff were having problems... More

My uncle had a wedding here. We stayed in the hotel for the wedding and had a pleasant time. The food though pricey was good (tip: take away margarita pizzas are cheaper only €10 you save €3.50) everyone was very friendly and it is also right by the maritime museum, the lexicon library and a ~10 min walk from the... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Haddington is a new brand name for the old Kingston Hotel and works are underway to improve our spaces and move it towards a luxurious hotel. This won't be a fast transformation but enhancements are already evident in the newer rooms and some of the public spaces and we'll continually look to improve our offering. Our hotel has fifty bedrooms and all rooms come with en suite facilities, digital TV, free WIFI, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Our newer 'classic' and 'deluxe' rooms also come with an in-room safe, a mini fridge stocked with fresh milk, filtered still & sparkling waters as well as a complimentary Irish Times. Most of the rooms in these categories also have spectacular sea views. Our main bar and restaurant is called Oliveto (which is very popular so booking in advance is well advised) and we also have a separate Library Bar for private parties & gatherings as well as a larger Oak Room. Additional lobby bar facilities are part of the upgrade works but we hope our guests can use our current lobby to relax, read and enjoy afternoon tea or evening drinks. Dun Laoghaire DART station is just a 5-minute walk away and provides regular rail connections to Dublin's city centre and the 3 Arena in just 20 minutes. The Aviva Stadium and the RDS can be reached after a 10-minute DART rail journey as can the beautiful village of Dalkey going in the opposite direction. On a local level, we are directly opposite the east pier (great for a walk) and close to Sandycove beach (swim all year!!), James Joyce Tower, Maritime Museum and a dozen other local attractions. We hope you'll get a chance to stay with The Haddington. ... more   less
