I was so disappointed in the condition of this "B&B"! The closest toilet was two floors away, the mattress was in rough shape, our window was broken and wouldn't close so we had traffic noise all night. The carpet on the stairs is worn and smelly. The parking was a ten minute walk away and wasn't free. The city was...

We stayed here 2 nights with 6 days in between, because we were on a hiking trip outside Dublin, and needed a place in the city in the beginning and end of our trip. The rooms ver very small, and there are no furniture just the bed, a sink and a shower cabin leaving no privacy for showering if you...

This hotel is in a good location,, Ideal for the bus to and from the Airport bus stop is right outside.. Staff were friendly and willing to help. Rooms were small and dated but the bedding and towels were clean.. we only stayed two nights and was out most of the time so was shocked when we came back and...

the good points, there is hot water, the floor of your room is hovered, the food is adequate, the staff bar one are very nice. The unvarnished truth about the rest. The hallways and stairs are filthy the carpets are worn and dangerous trip hazards on the treads, the shared bathrooms are kept clean but every sink is cracked and there are no plugs in...

The Avondale is a basic hotel, in need of some TLC. The price is aimed more on the budget end of the scale making it ideal for a short stay in Dublin when you just want somewhere to lay your head for a couple of nights. Location is good with a bus stop just over the road that links direct...

The best thing about this hotel is the location. The airport bus stops outside and it is only a five minute walk to O'Connell Street and ten minutes to Temple Bar. Our twinbed room had no furniture except two comfortable beds, but we also had a small shower cabin and a basin - the toilet was on the next floor....

Well how can I write this politely. Arrived to be met by a member of staff who wasn't even willing to walk to desk and just pointed to a space I could leave luggage. When I returned was given key to top floor and just a quick point to the stairs. So on the way up there was ripped carpets...

I booked last minute and it was full for 2 of my 3 nights so I'm sure it could've been cheaper but I was pretty happy with it. Close to the spire which is great to find your way. I walked most places and not in shape because of some circumstances and it was great. Live music literally across the...

This was my third stay at Avondale B&B. Why? It's in a great location, esp if you arrive at the nearby bus station or Connolly station or bus. It's also not TOO expensive, esp if you want a room at short notice. It is a bit old and run down in places but hey, you get what you pay for....
