A bit underwhelmed We were on the third floor with no lift The room smelt like salmon A shared bathroom when we were told we had a private bathroom when booking The bathroom was unclean and scruffy Walls were very thin so could here a lot next door The only good thing was it was a 5 minute walk from the city centre

If you value your sanity do not stay here. Having accepted the dilapidated conditions as possibly a quaint reflection of a bygone era my night in hell dispelled all sympathy for the hotels conditions. The family in the adjoining room spent a drunken night screaming at each other. I rang reception to seek some respite but the phone went unanswered for many hours. I fled the hotel early in the morning resolving never to set foot in the place again.

Location was fantastic and we got a triple bed room, but you instantly see that they room and bathroom was in need of repair and cleaning. But the worst part was the noise we didn't sleep much for the 2 nights we were there from the people shouting outside to the constant noise from the room above and the hallway. A small thing that bugged me was the house cleaning didn't really clean anything, they just threw a few new towels on the unmade bed and emptied the bin, maybe I am expecting too much but normally they would make the beds take old towels and so on but not here. I will not be staying again.

The location is perfect, especially for the price point. Next to trinity, down the street from St. Stephen’s Green, around the corner from Grafton street and the bus is maybe .4 miles away. The staff is very friendly, I arrived much earlier than I anticipated and they locked away my luggage for me until my room was available. There is no lift and the first floor starts on the second floor (room 100 is on the second floor) so if you have any issues with mobility you may want to find somewhere else to stay. The room was clean and comfortable except for being very warm and the only control you have on the temperature is a fan provided. The building is old so the water pressure isn’t great but does the job. If you are looking for a place to lay your head between excursions and don’t mind an older building this is a great option.

A little dated but clean, fresh linen, excellent location and most of all the reception staff could not have been nicer. They are 5 Star ! Opposite Trinity College sports grounds so nice outlook. Right next to museums and the national gallery.
