Stopped in for late lunch. Had the stew and it was delicious. There was a Irish band playing. Lots of people, lots of pints and a ton of fun. Loved it! If you want the feel of a real Irish pub give this five be a try.

Always good to drop in as it is just around the corner from the Merrion And Stephens Green. We went Wednesday night and Friday day. Absolutely heaving and people playing music both times. Everyone who has come over from England has enjoyed the atmosphere here. We met up with my parents who are in their 60s and they went back... More

Great music and a historic pub spoilt by the man behind the bar who has been there for years. I feel sorry for someone so miserable in their job. I go to this pub because of the history and great musicians.

This was a perfect spot for a home base to explore the city. The staff were wonderful and even carried our bags up the stairs for us! The location is extremely convenient. There's a grocery store across the street. The pub itself is amazing. Friendly, incredibly efficient bar staff, not quite as many tourists, and a few more locals. We... More

A great find following my visits to the tourist packed pubs in Temple Bar - why go to Ireland to meet tourists right?! I was exploring Dublin on my own, but felt safe. The band played for most of the night and the locals used the bar. The bar staff had a super efficient system on the go and no... More

If you like your pubs teeming with life, alive with crazy music, banter and booze and crave being crammed in with a singing mass of craic....then this legendary boozer is for you. A real destination for some of the folk greats. But don't expect Hollywood frills and nonsense. It helps if you drink pints as that will simplify the order... More

Excellent pub rooms! We stayed on Christmas Eve so was super lively and noisy downstairs, no choice but to get involved really - not that we were complaining! I'd imagine it's the same as weekends so go expecting some noise. Great stay!

I think that this is the place to get the best pint of Guinness in Dublin which is no small achievement! Actually three zones in one pub, here you will find lots of locals of all shapes and sizes enjoying the craic and consuming vast amounts of black gold. The middle area is officially outside so smokers are welcome without... More

Beers great, very abrupt unfriendly barman, it was too much trouble for us to pay for our drinks on a credit card "you should have started a tab"! We were told! How did we know we were going to have another drink!!!! We should have gone to a different pub ..... I think they would have appreciated our patronage much... More
