Beers great, very abrupt unfriendly barman, it was too much trouble for us to pay for our drinks on a credit card "you should have started a tab"! We were told! How did we know we were going to have another drink!!!! We should have gone to a different pub ..... I think they would have appreciated our patronage much... More

On arrival it was really busy and difficult to find the right place to get a key for our room, eventually we were ushered to behind the bar area to a very small kitchen area and asked to pay up front & given a key to our room, the gent then took one of the heaviest cases up the 4... More

An easy walk or quick bus journey from almost all the sights in Dublin. Room was clean and the amenities advertised (fridge, kettle, wifi, TV etc) were all working. We stayed in the top floor and were not bothered by noise at all. The people working there are really friendly and accommodating, and replied promptly to email. The pub downstairs... More

O''Donoghue's is located in an excellent position for the traveller. The rooms are located upstairs above the famous pub that features on most Dublin postcards. This singing pub is not within Temple Bar, but can easily reached by foot in about 15 to 20 minutes. The room we had was the triple room, which had many steps to climb, but... More

Love this pub! Visited Dublin with my wife and friends in August for a long weekend and we made a couple stops at O'Donoghue's for drinks and entertainment. The place gets packed but the servers do an excellent job at keeping the Guinness flowing (servers in London could learn a thing or two from them!!). There are lots of cozy... More

Had a yummy and very reasonably priced toasted sandwich lunch and cheeky glass of wine whilst walking around north Dublin. Friendly, traditional and busy traditional pub ;-). Close to Merrion Square and St Stephens Green, Grafton Street and Trinity College.

We visited this and it was a cold day outside, but very warm welcome and homely inside this bar. Friendly staff and nice beers, and traditional irish atmosphere, a must visit for us next time. great place for all

Was a great place to stay right in the centre, the bar was lively and very busy, weekend wasn't long enough, will return. We personally didn't find rooms too noisy, we had room 1 and room 4. Thanks O'Donoghues for putting '50th' birthday banner up in our room.. Was a lovely touch!!

Stopped at O'Donoghue's for 3 nights, the pub is in a great location for getting around Dublin and close to a lot of the City's main tourist attractions. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with a nice powerful shower. Not good if you don't do stairs, but the accommodation is accessed without having to go through the pub. The pub... More

A friend who used to live in Dublin brought me here to see the more local scene. Packed Irish pub. Older musicians sitting in a circle. Warning that the crowd takes the music seriously and will annoyingly shush you if you're talking. So only go if you're a serious music lover.
