We arrived at the famous pub and we're not disappointed by the place, history etc. The Dubliners started here and they have a music session on a Sunday. For traditional irish music it's a must see. So friendly

I adore this pub! I go to Dublin every January and visit O'Donoghues each time. That's the part I look forward to most! I couldn't wait to show my friends what I'd been banging on about since we booked our getaway and as usual, everybody was really friendly and the atmosphere was great! Massive thanks to Anton, Podge and Paddy... More

This pub has got the Irish atmosphere you're looking for when you visit Dublin. Located right by St Stephen's Green, O'Donoghue's offers a good selection of Irish beer. However, you come here for the music. Musicians will sit in the corner as you enter the bar and pick tunes throughout the night. Sometimes everyone will join in to sing -... More

Greeted by friendly staff, shown to top floor room (over 50 steps up) top floor is much quieter than lower floors (busy street) but not suitable for anyone with any limited mobility as there is no lift. Large comfy room but it was very cold as heating had not been put on, it took a fair while to warm up.... More

Went here with on a Thursday, twice! First for some drinks before dinner to try my very first guiness in Ireland. We came back for an after dinner drink and loved the fact that there were a couple of guys playing live music, brilliant!

Totally different from any hotel I've ever stayed in! Reservations were written down in a notebook (NO computer! :-) ), so it took a while to find our reservation, but hey, it's also a pub, so get a drink while waiting!! Rooms was okay. Not that big, but we had plenty of space. Bathroom also not that modern (because this... More

This pub is famous for it's music sessions but we enjoyed our visit during the afternoon without the music. It is cited right beside St. Stephen's Green. It's a friendly pub with little lighting which does create an atmosphere. The seating is quite basic and would be hard to get on a busy evening. The Guinness is perfect and the... More

The room was good - decent size, overlooking the street. Yes there are stairs, no there's no elevator - be prepared for that. The shower was small, but everything was clean. The location is amazing - right above a great Irish pub, close to St. Stephen's Green. The Aircoach bus from the airport stops nearby - very convenient. We walked... More

Popped in for a coffee and a look at the Dubliners historical photo collection - well worth it! Interesting pub, old, rarely seen, feel the years when you step in. Publican a droll Irishman who kinda made the visit with his sandwich offerings! Husband still chuckling......

O'Donoghue's is just as it's described and MORE!! It is "total immersion" into the cultural community of Dublin-- you just might leave with a hint of a brogue-- the music is spectacular, the staff members are warm and embracing. Be sure to take a seat at the bar and watch the Masters draw a pint of Guinness-- and be sure... More
