The hotel is located centrally with good access to town, rooms are big and - though dated - perfectly functional. However, both days I stayed I had patchy or no internet connection - and when calling reception, instead of them addressing the issue, They put me through to the internet service provider (!). I spent 30 mins checking upload /... More

Stayed in this hotel recently for a one night room only stay at an expensive rate not inclusive of breakfast. Next day breakfast was charged at €15.00 per person and quite frankly the breakfast was inedible and service was dreadful. In addition, hotel residents are charged €12 to park their car overnight at the hotel. I would not recommend staying... More

I have just come from the Ballsbridge hotel. I popped in for lunch on my break from work. There was nobody waiting tables so I ordered at the bar. I received a very average small bowl of vegetable soup and 2 very small, overcooked fishcakes, garnished with greens that were so wilted, a lot of them were brown. I asked... More

We stayed a couple of nights at the Dublin Ballsbridge Hotel on a Collette tour of Ireland. Our room was large, but dated and we had to request a fan due to the lack of air conditioning (it really can get a little warm in Ireland!). Breakfast was included with our tour, but the first day it was chaotic due... More

Very expensive for what you get. I only booked this hotel as it's very close to the site of a conference I'm attending. After reading a few reviews here, my expectations were already low. I knew I was paying overprice for a dated and mediocre hotel. However, what I didn't know about was the construction site right outside my window.... More

During my few days stay at this hotel, I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The staff in the restaurant were absolutely excellent, so much so we deliberately decided to eat there rather than go out. The food was excellent to, super tasty and well worth the money. I also have to say that the staff... More

This was a good deal, good price, good location. It was however unusually hot weather when we were there and the room was unbearably hot. The rooms were a bit tired but it was fit for purpose - a one night stay. Having said that I would stay again. Its a pity about the parking charges though!

We were woken at 6am this morning by the construction site outside. It is very loud and the hotel should inform guests for how long it will continue. Overall the room is clean and nice but the noise outside ruins the experience.

We stayed at the Ballsbridge Hotel one night at the end of our tour of Ireland. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We were able to walk to a nice little pub for dinner ("Paddy Cullen's") and realized we were almost directly across the street from the US Embassy! The hotel itself is... More

Crazy expensive, €251 B+B, terrible service, full Irish breakfast was cold and bad quality, the coffee was even cold. In general this is a terrible hotel. room was poor quality and shabby, would definitely not stay here again and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!
