This hostel is really hip & trendy. It's in a quiet area 20min walking distance to city center. Excellent wifi service. Lockers in basement for storage. The hostel itself it is massive. With bar, cafe, sitting area. There's a travel desk that you can book an excursion tour or buy the airlink bus ticket. The only thing is the room... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a 4 people room. The Rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is very friendly, also the have Spanish speaking staff. Best thing about the hostel was the atmosphere, if you are on a trip to meet new people, this is the perfect place to stay!

What a place, trendy, chilled, cool and amazingly well done. Booking was easy and booked direct. Check in was fantastic and the lady really nice. Had a private room with en suite and bunks and HR was perfect. Neighbourhood is safe and close to some local pubs but the entertainment area here is top notch. Keep up the great work... More

I and my family spent at Generator two days. Near city center and close to Guinnes storehouse. Private rooms are simple and clean. Toilettes are cleaned very often. The hall is very big and there is a very fast WiFi connection. Good solution to visit Dublin.

We booked here for cheap beds - ended up paying more than originally quoted but this was not the fault of the hostel - and not sure it was worth the extra. The downstairs area was excellent. Good price, very modern. The staff were friendly and there was good information available for tours etc. Felt a little like they put... More

Our room was clean, our roomies were considerate and quite, the surrounding area felt totally safe, the rest of Dublin was accessible by foot and cab--walked to the prison and art museum, for example, and cabbed it to O'Donahue's (for the music) and the Temple Bar (for dancing). Inside and outside our room, the place felt secure and there were... More

Great hostel, with a free upgrade to an en suite which was perfect. Very comfortable with a great vibe and decent facilitates. An amazing bar is within the hostel, and you aren't to far away from the key areas in Dublin. The 10am kick out is a tad early but barring that a great hostel.

My friend and I were apprehensive about staying in a hostel as they can be a bit hit and miss but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the generator. There was a lively atmosphere, pool tables and a bar to chill at! The room itself was fine, very hot but it was clean- the bathrooms were also good.... More

It had everything you could want in a hostel. Super clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, pretty good location (about 15 from main shops and 20 from temple bar walking, but with plenty of other cafes and pubs right there) and omg the bar was awesome!!!! Live music, cheap drink specials, and unbelievable food! Best burger in Dublin... More
