From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome by the friendly and helpful staff who made the stay and absolute pleasure. They told us about all the local attractions and the best (and most cost effective) ways to get around in Dublin. We were led to our room which was comfortable and clean with all the... More

The Charleville Lodge Hotel former home to Lord Charleville is an elegant terrace of Victorian houses in Dublin. I liked the staff, particularly and the room ! Location: it's NOT the city center, but it's not too far either from O'Connel center.

The one star review may seem harsh but we will detail below the reasons for the loss of each star assuming a five star default. The first star we have taken is for the lack of hot water in the room. The shower was difficult to work and took a long time to warm up. Even when it did, the... More

A group of ten of us used the guesthouse as our accommodation as we did the Rock n Roll Dublin weekend. Location was ok and a good 30mins walk to Phoenix park. Rooms were dated but served the purpose, some of our rooms had three beds. Double and a single. The beds were very creaky and the furniture was old... More

This place was not hard to find and I was grateful there was a vacancy since I didn't have a reservation. The receptionist, Natalia, was wonderfully helpful. Checking in was hassle-free. The Room itself was small, but worth what I paid (72 Euros.) It was warm and cozy and I slept like a baby. The water pressure in the shower... More

This is a lovely, warm hotel where the staff, particularly in reception, make a huge effort to get on with you and make you feel comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, even the night porter was such a pleasant chap letting us in with a big smile on his face, even after we'd had a few drinks.... More

I'm not one who likes to be negative, but it would be unfair to review this place without listing these first. My family and I stayed in June and booked two rooms for three nights. The rooms are tiny. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, and for God's sake, you'd better bring your own pillow because these were the most uncomfortable... More

We had been booked at this hotel hotel by a travel agent in london, and on later going through the reviews of the hotel we thought we had been conned in view the terrible reviews given by a number of persons on various websites. Some said you had to enter the bathrooms sideways, everything you touched would fall off,and that the rooms were... From check in to check out this hotel was awful. First, AFTER taking my credit card payment, I was handed room keys for two rooms for my family of 5, with a total of only 3 beds. We had reserved two rooms, each with 2 beds, a double and a single in each room. There was no place for the... More
