The location of the hotel was great and staff were friendly and helpful upon check in. The room was adequate but dated. No a/c which is not unusual but our room was on a street with several pubs below and the party didn't end until almost 4 am. Windows had to be kept open because it was too warm to close them.

Really dreadful place. Very dated but not in a charming way. Bad smell in lobby. The staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Service slow. So many other great friendly places in Dublin - avoid this one!

Location is really nice. There is a restaurant in the hotel and lot of eating places around. It was a little bit strange for me that complimentary water is provided in open bottle... But food and drink and breakfast are ok.

We needed a place to stay for our last night in Ireland and chose The Central Hotel. Typically I do extensive research and read reviews before selecting lodging but didn’t this time. The staff was friendly when we arrived, allowed us to check in early and the location was within walking distance of many places. Those are the only positive things I can come up with for this review. The room was extremely small, the bathroom tiny and moldy, the bed consisted of two twin beds pushed together, there was an overall feeling of filth. The noise outside lasted ALL night long. I don’t recommend staying here unless you’re okay with no sleep and feeling dirty.

I stayed in the Central Hotel for one night and it cost $280 - and there was BLACK MOLD all over the shower, the WINDOWS, and the faucets on the sink. I have been given only an $80 refund for this disgusting room. I was offered breakfast - which I declined because clearly they are not sanitary! Who knows what the kitchen looks like?? Don’t stay here - the hotel is closing at the end of the year for a major remodel - so they aren’t doing ANYTHING to fix the issues. Told this by a manager. Also - the chair in the room was covered with blankets - take them off and the chair is shredded to bits. Enjoy the photos!
