Not sure how this hotel is only 2 stars as the room we stayed in was a brilliant size for me and my 4 friends and the bedroom was up to standards. The hotel room cost me and my friends about €95 each which i...More
Had a lovely stay with friends recently. Nice lively bar. Lovely irish breakfast even smoked salmon n fresh brewed coffee. Rooms warm, clean and tidy. Reception staff very helpful. Only downside is noise from the nightclub. Worth a stay if visiting south side of Dublin.
Location is fine. No parking. Didn't mind the noise level and room was basic. Also lady who checked us in from the north was very pleasant. However, 2 days after leaving I checked my bank account and a further 40 euro was taking from my...More

Cute, a bit messy around the edges, but great value for money, there is a student indie vibe to this end of Dublin, which suited my boys 19 and 21. We had two rooms on the top floor, a family room and a double, check...More

Hi - I lived in this area for a number of years so therefore know the area very well . - To answer your question - no its not far. You can cross the road and get a bus if you want or if you walk down about 10 minutes it brings you to Stephens Green (a lovely city centre park) and Grafton Street which is a lovely shopping area . A few more minutes walk (passing Trinity College) and you reach Temple Bar which is good for nightlife. A further few minutes and you reach O'Connell street (Henry street is off this and is also good for shopping) . Just ask the receptionist to point you in the right direction. Hopes this helps (ps the opposite direction from hotel brings you to a nice little area called Rathmines - it has some nice places to eat and also some good pubs. - Its only about 3 minutes walk from this hotel - again ask to be pointed in the right direction. Another tip - if you are arriving in Dublin airport - don't get a taxi to Portobello as it will be very expensive Instead go to tourist information desk and they will tell you where to buy bus tickets in airport and which bus to get outside airport to get you here. You will have to get 2 busses but it really is very easy and easy on your pocket too (you can also buy a return bus ticket to get you back to airport) Hope you have a lovely time
